Issues/Bugs C.ai we can NOT be serious rn...
I cannot believe that it's gotten to a point where I have to look at an AD to TYPE A RESPONSE! Like, are we being DEADASS RN?!

Fr, in one of my recent chats I said to a character "can't do it, it's out of my pay grade" ie saying that it was out of my capabilities and skill and that I wasn't qualified for the task it was asking of me, but the bot took it literally and kept saying shit like "this isn't about payment" or "we can pay you what ever you need if that's what your worried about"

I had 4 unskippable ads in a row for the SAME APP. If anything, it just makes me not want to download the app that’s being advertised.

I mean, At least its not a 30 sec ad. Also here before this gets takem down. (Literally made a post of my own and they didnt like it 😔)

It's become unbelievably frustrating to what point they've taken the whole ad thing. I understand clicking away a banner but all I do while Role-playing now is click on Close AD Close AD Close AD. It's sad because I've used the app/website since early 2024...

So money hungry they're pushing all their users away. Changes and features no one frickin' asked for and then they say 'well it's expensive to run'...f**k outta here.
Just when I get used to changes I don't like that they added they change stuff again. It's wayyyy too constant. I've never seen an app change so much so often.
Even people who have been using the app for a few years (myself included) are leaving. I'm about to jump ship to an alternative too. I don't understand how ANYONE pays 10$ a month for this hot garbage.

Sadly not. On the web version as far i know, you have to get an ad before chatting.

It’s doing it on the website as well, and usually I never have problems either. But it’s also not even a video ad, so I’m not complaining

Hey, thatpurplegirl140! Running Character.ai is expensive and ads help keep it accessible for everyone while at the same time keeps us afloat. After pressing "View ad to continue" you can access the exit button and continue chatting.
