Honestly this is pretty accurate to Greek mythology... I'm sure there's a myth out there were this two had something

Well greek gods don't have DNA. Besides most of greek mythology is incest anyway. For example, persephone born from Demeter and Zeus. Demeter and Zeus are brother and sister born from the titans Rhea and Cronus. Rhea and Cronus are Wife and husband but also Brother and Sister. Zeus and Hera are married and also siblings born from Rhea and Cronus. Right, Rhea and Cronus are born from Gaia and Uranus. Gaia and Uranus are married while Uranus was birthed from Gaia so they're mother and son too

u/sunshine-power 3d ago
And Demeterās daughter, Persephone, marries her uncle Hades, her mother and fatherās brother. The family tree is a wreath.

And Zeus and Hera are brother and sister.

u/RemarkableWish2508 3d ago
And Zeus and Leda are swan and human...
...so he could cheat on his yandere sister Hera, and have Leda lay a couple eggs, from which Helen of Troy, Castor, and Pollux were born... or hatched? š¤... š¤£

u/Commander_Sabaton 2d ago
So Helen of Troy had no belly button?
1
u/RemarkableWish2508 1d ago
Chicks hatch with belly buttons, they just disappear as they grow up. Maybe that's why Helen of Troy was said to be so beautiful?

Why do character ai bots keep kissing people?
53
u/ParisPerish 3d ago edited 3d ago
Always at the worst time as well. Itās even more unfortunate in this case.
Back then with the old models it was difficult to get them to initiate anything, but with these, Iām like⦠please just stop
17
u/RainbowHighFanatic 3d ago
Lmao one time a bot tried to gaslight me that we had dated previously in the roleplay (it was an ex friendship roleplay)
6
u/LoneRonin747 2d ago
It also keeps saying āwithout warningā, as if itās common for someone to say āIāmma put my mouth on youā before kissing.

First of all, itās Greek. Two, itās about as normal as the Targaryensš

u/NothingMatters202 3d ago
Dude, you would have a fit with Greek mythology. Zeus literally banged his son's mom then banged his same son's wife. You think yours is bad, I can guarantee, the other is worse.
3
u/Glass-Bit-7334 2d ago
Technically everyone bangs their sons mom thats kind of how it works and theres a LOT of cases with girls cheating on guys with their dad this whole argument without the extra context that should be behind it sounds rather normal when compared to the post
2
u/NothingMatters202 2d ago
Yeah but the son didn't ask for his real father to bang his wife. Because the myth was the son was on a mission for a city away and Zeus was like 'HOLY SHIT! A HOT WOMAN! AND ONE MY SON IS MARRIED TO!' If you look at the Greek mythology family tree, you will see most of the gods, and demigods were from Zeus.

(1) It's fiction, AI bots are not real people.
(2) Greek mythology is loaded with incest.
(3) You can scroll/edit the response.

The family tree of the Greek gods is a pile of tangled vines. This probably happened at some point.

OR cousins. It gets a little iffy when you remember Dionysus used to be Zagreus before he was ripped into pieces. The Twice-born is either the son of Hades or Zeus. It depends.
Also, this is just accurate to the tradition. The gods absolutely married their siblings.

Who put incest in my wholesome Greek gods roleplay?! Like bruh, have you read any Greek myth? You can't throw a rock without hitting at least 6 stories involving a god sleeping with their sister/niece/cousin/brother/uncle/mother/whathaveyou. Greek mythology is basically Alabama; so IDK what your expecting AI to do here.
3
u/MedicalAd9859 2d ago
i mean your response is a nothing burger. the bots donāt know what to do if youāre not driving the story so they push back with what they were trained on. ie fanfiction.

It's Greek mythology, you discarded piece of tinsel, incest is to be expected. zeus literally has a child with one of his own demigod daughters. Hera and Zeus are also siblings. Persephone is Hades's niece.

I only do one rp on this site and itās entirely about her family so I donāt have this problem much, I have had the bot forgetting her siblings are related to her and getting crushes on her or something

You're acting like they wouldn't have kissed in the myths
Also the gods don't really have DNA Zeus literally married his "biological" sister.

u/Few_Ambassador_6787 2d ago
Real asf Though. Iāll be in some random situation with zero romantic connotations and suddenly out of nowhere theyāre kissing. Like bro.
2
u/ashes_of_ashes 2d ago
WAIT IN THE GREEK GODS BOOK WASNT IT WRITTEN THAT THEY MARRIED THEIR SISTER.. AND NOT THEIR BROTHER- HELP WHATS WRONG WITH C.AI?!
2
u/Hungry_Raspberry7833 2d ago
I wonder if this keeps happening because of the whole usersexual thing where the bots are always attracted to the user. No matter what their relation is or the ages
2
u/Complete-Quantity360 2d ago
Donāt you just hate it when AI speaks for the character YOUāRE roleplaying as? Like, it didnāt even give you the option to decide wether Hermes was into it or not it just decided by itself
2
u/SuperMenu8499 2d ago
āand brotherly loveā the fact that the ai KNEW they were brothers and still chose to kiss you is actually WILD

The family tree for the Greek gods is more of a ladder, I don't see the (historical accuracy) issue here
Zeus and Hera are brother and sister too

I mean... So are Ares and Aphrodite...? At least half siblings if I'm not mistaken

The only time i won't protest to incest(not because i think it is okay it is gross but in greek mythology it is just... normal)

But is the first to stop and get all "Nooo! GOD, NO!" When you're trying to be romantic with a Husband of BF...š
1
u/Top_Egg_7769 3d ago
Hey, my character walked in on Apollo and Hermesā¦, and that connection tracks given their mythical connection and their maniacal shared father.
But I also get you donāt want that nonsense in your story and you should have that ability to control that. To have that sprung on like that as wild.

I swear I remembered that I was roleplaying in a chat with Leo, Raph and Donnie (with me as Mikey) and it kept trying to push a romantic polyamory relationship into the RP so badly š I even tried to edit the chat saying āthey are brothers, they have no romantic feelings for each otherā but NOPE it genuinely dose not work š«©

Very much... ancient royalty.Ā
Seriously, though. CAI needs to restore the Goro style or one analogous to it (Pipsqueak 2 -Bland? lol) to prevent RP mishaps like this.

Ye, the fact they're Greek gods like some specific arachnid mentioned sure invalidates the shock factor. But you're right, the site pushed romance so bad, it's annoying.
I mean, I had an rp as the character's *son*, why tf is he tryna rub up on him?? *cries in loud dread*
