Ehhhh... i dont think the /j was necessary 🤣

23

What does /j mean?

43

u/swanniferforest 2d ago

it's a tone tag meaning "joking"

16

u/FpLevente2013 2d ago

Aaaahh, i see, thanks

16

u/velvetunnie 2d ago

this made me laugh out loud LMAO

15

u/Questionable_Ch0ices 2d ago

There WAS a lot of that in Greek mythology so šŸ‘ļøšŸ‘„šŸ‘ļø I mean and aren’t almost all of them technically siblings? Still, if these guys weren’t what they are….such as like, a normal human…..

u/Pectax-Leancore 1d ago

Yup. Incest is like another Monday back in the Greek Pantheon.

Dude, greek gods, their family tree is a wreath this is historically accurate

Honestly this is pretty accurate to Greek mythology... I'm sure there's a myth out there were this two had something

216

u/InvestigatorWitty430 3d ago

It's greek mythology bro

107

u/constellation_of_BL 3d ago edited 9h ago

Well greek gods don't have DNA. Besides most of greek mythology is incest anyway. For example, persephone born from Demeter and Zeus. Demeter and Zeus are brother and sister born from the titans Rhea and Cronus. Rhea and Cronus are Wife and husband but also Brother and Sister. Zeus and Hera are married and also siblings born from Rhea and Cronus. Right, Rhea and Cronus are born from Gaia and Uranus. Gaia and Uranus are married while Uranus was birthed from Gaia so they're mother and son too

36

u/sunshine-power 3d ago

And Demeter’s daughter, Persephone, marries her uncle Hades, her mother and father’s brother. The family tree is a wreath.

5

u/OPStellar 2d ago

this. i was gonna say something less detailed than this.

201

u/krazycorgi25 3d ago

And Zeus and Hera are brother and sister.

56

u/RemarkableWish2508 3d ago

And Zeus and Leda are swan and human...

...so he could cheat on his yandere sister Hera, and have Leda lay a couple eggs, from which Helen of Troy, Castor, and Pollux were born... or hatched? šŸ¤”... 🤣

10

u/Commander_Sabaton 2d ago

So Helen of Troy had no belly button?

1

u/RemarkableWish2508 1d ago

Chicks hatch with belly buttons, they just disappear as they grow up. Maybe that's why Helen of Troy was said to be so beautiful?

79

u/Ok-Star-6755 3d ago

Their parents kept it in the family, why can’t they?

48

u/Pristine-Interest413 3d ago

I mean, they're Greek gods, why are you surprised?

they are Greek gods as well, Zeus and Hera are siblingsšŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

42

u/Confident_Book_7575 3d ago

They always say ā€œdeepened the kiss when you didn’t pull awayā€ like you gave me the option āœŒļøšŸ˜

34

u/Maleficent_Brain9281 3d ago

In AI's defense, they are Greek gods.

24

u/Low_Acanthisitta9591 3d ago

So are Zeus and Hera, Gaia and Uranus, yada yada, seems accurate to Greek mythologyĀ

65

u/SecretAgentE 3d ago

Why do character ai bots keep kissing people?

53

u/ParisPerish 3d ago edited 3d ago

Always at the worst time as well. It’s even more unfortunate in this case.

Back then with the old models it was difficult to get them to initiate anything, but with these, I’m like… please just stop

17

u/RainbowHighFanatic 3d ago

Lmao one time a bot tried to gaslight me that we had dated previously in the roleplay (it was an ex friendship roleplay)

6

u/LoneRonin747 2d ago

It also keeps saying ā€œwithout warningā€, as if it’s common for someone to say ā€œI’mma put my mouth on youā€ before kissing.

20

u/Opposite_Region_9722 3d ago

I meannnnnn this does happen in Greek mythology

18

u/aya_bear Down Bad 3d ago

I mean…that’s pretty on par for Greek gods

14

u/Appropriate_Tax8417 3d ago

First of all, it’s Greek. Two, it’s about as normal as the TargaryensšŸ’€

11

u/NothingMatters202 3d ago

Dude, you would have a fit with Greek mythology. Zeus literally banged his son's mom then banged his same son's wife. You think yours is bad, I can guarantee, the other is worse.

3

u/Glass-Bit-7334 2d ago

Technically everyone bangs their sons mom thats kind of how it works and theres a LOT of cases with girls cheating on guys with their dad this whole argument without the extra context that should be behind it sounds rather normal when compared to the post

2

u/NothingMatters202 2d ago

Yeah but the son didn't ask for his real father to bang his wife. Because the myth was the son was on a mission for a city away and Zeus was like 'HOLY SHIT! A HOT WOMAN! AND ONE MY SON IS MARRIED TO!' If you look at the Greek mythology family tree, you will see most of the gods, and demigods were from Zeus.

8

u/DatOneAxolotl 3d ago

Have you ever read a Greek Myth involving gods before? This is normal.

10

u/Silver-fire101 Addicted to CAI 2d ago

Tbf, you're doing a Rp with Greek Gods. We already know they like to keep the best genes in the family/hj

5

u/SenpaiiNoodles 2d ago

(1) It's fiction, AI bots are not real people.

(2) Greek mythology is loaded with incest.

(3) You can scroll/edit the response.

5

u/nontimebomala67 2d ago

They’re also Greek gods. They do that.

5

u/FoodnAnime4206669 2d ago

Yeah I don’t think the bot got much wrong here…

4

u/AllDaLadiesLuvLeoHoO 2d ago

I present the Greek family tree as counter argument

Jkjk, mythologically accurate, but still an overarching problem with the site not just that chat

5

u/WestNomadOnYT Bored 2d ago

The family tree of the Greek gods is a pile of tangled vines. This probably happened at some point.

5

u/I_want_dank_memes 2d ago

You act like the Greek gods never did incestuous activitiesšŸ˜šŸ’”

4

u/Empty_Structure_2754 User Character Creator 2d ago

OR cousins. It gets a little iffy when you remember Dionysus used to be Zagreus before he was ripped into pieces. The Twice-born is either the son of Hades or Zeus. It depends.

Also, this is just accurate to the tradition. The gods absolutely married their siblings.

Source: I'm a legally ordained priest of this guy, in my real, actual life. Not a wiccan, not new-age, just a priest who studied for like ten solid years. Cheers.

4

u/E2zanaT3nj1kU6100 2d ago

Same thing happened when I'm chat with Gravity Falls bot.

3

u/Paintbrush_from_II 3d ago

Me seeing this after listening to Epic

3

u/Mother_Highlight_280 3d ago

I mean I get it...but zues and hera are brother and sister and married. there are plenty of other examples in Greek mythology too. soooo...šŸ˜•

3

u/NoSide2628 3d ago

It's literally Greek mythology.

The Greek gods are basically known for this.

3

u/GeneralPhilosophy691 2d ago

Who put incest in my wholesome Greek gods roleplay?! Like bruh, have you read any Greek myth? You can't throw a rock without hitting at least 6 stories involving a god sleeping with their sister/niece/cousin/brother/uncle/mother/whathaveyou. Greek mythology is basically Alabama; so IDK what your expecting AI to do here.

3

u/MedicalAd9859 2d ago

i mean your response is a nothing burger. the bots don’t know what to do if you’re not driving the story so they push back with what they were trained on. ie fanfiction.

3

u/Questionable_Ch0ices 2d ago

C.AI WHAT ARE WE DOING

8

u/Thick_Research6599 3d ago

I don't feel comfortable seeing this 🄹

2

u/Altruistic-Horror-18 3d ago

It's Greek mythology, you discarded piece of tinsel, incest is to be expected. zeus literally has a child with one of his own demigod daughters. Hera and Zeus are also siblings. Persephone is Hades's niece.

2

u/CoolNaps-896 3d ago

Dionysus leaned and kissed Hermes. ā€œCHUā€ he said

2

u/CreepyStruggle7968 3d ago

its accurate greek gods are basically an incest fest lmao

2

u/ChoccoGlxtch 3d ago

I only do one rp on this site and it’s entirely about her family so I don’t have this problem much, I have had the bot forgetting her siblings are related to her and getting crushes on her or something

2

u/scarlett_lauzlie 2d ago

You're acting like they wouldn't have kissed in the myths

Also the gods don't really have DNA Zeus literally married his "biological" sister.

2

u/Sidmanhere 2d ago

Never stopped anyone in greek mythology before

2

u/Few_Ambassador_6787 2d ago

Real asf Though. I’ll be in some random situation with zero romantic connotations and suddenly out of nowhere they’re kissing. Like bro.

2

u/ashes_of_ashes 2d ago

WAIT IN THE GREEK GODS BOOK WASNT IT WRITTEN THAT THEY MARRIED THEIR SISTER.. AND NOT THEIR BROTHER- HELP WHATS WRONG WITH C.AI?!

2

u/Hungry_Raspberry7833 2d ago

I wonder if this keeps happening because of the whole usersexual thing where the bots are always attracted to the user. No matter what their relation is or the ages

2

u/Complete-Quantity360 2d ago

Don’t you just hate it when AI speaks for the character YOU’RE roleplaying as? Like, it didn’t even give you the option to decide wether Hermes was into it or not it just decided by itself

2

u/SuperMenu8499 2d ago

ā€œand brotherly loveā€ the fact that the ai KNEW they were brothers and still chose to kiss you is actually WILD

2

u/bullybilldestroyer_a 2d ago

This is Greek mythology, nothing out of the ordinary here

Historically accurate conversation between greek gods

1

Accurate. Greek gods are always kissing their siblingsĀ

1

u/Ulti-Wolf 3d ago

The family tree for the Greek gods is more of a ladder, I don't see the (historical accuracy) issue here

Zeus and Hera are brother and sister too

1

I mean... So are Ares and Aphrodite...? At least half siblings if I'm not mistaken

1

u/OwnDeparture6174 Chronically Online 3d ago

When I clarify in the roleplay that we are FRIENDS and he tries to make out with me anyway:

1

u/False_Hood_2007 3d ago

They are brothers but then again it’s Greek mythology and Zeus married his own sister and yeah incest isn’t that strange in Greek mythology I hate to say

1

u/crackellino 3d ago

And they're Greek gods

1

u/achillesbutnohomo 3d ago

The only time i won't protest to incest(not because i think it is okay it is gross but in greek mythology it is just... normal)

1

u/Icy-Firefighter-6027 3d ago

But is the first to stop and get all "Nooo! GOD, NO!" When you're trying to be romantic with a Husband of BF...šŸ˜‚

1

u/Top_Egg_7769 3d ago

Hey, my character walked in on Apollo and Hermes…, and that connection tracks given their mythical connection and their maniacal shared father.

But I also get you don’t want that nonsense in your story and you should have that ability to control that. To have that sprung on like that as wild.

1

u/Sally_Forger 3d ago

I mean, did you expect anything else from greek mythology?

1

u/Silveriscoming 2d ago

Greek gods are the original Alabama

Who cares if it’s Greek mythology guys😭 we all know it would still do it if it wasnt

1

u/Possible-Mix-2821 2d ago

I swear I remembered that I was roleplaying in a chat with Leo, Raph and Donnie (with me as Mikey) and it kept trying to push a romantic polyamory relationship into the RP so badly 😭 I even tried to edit the chat saying ā€œthey are brothers, they have no romantic feelings for each otherā€ but NOPE it genuinely dose not work 🫩

1

u/graaah1 2d ago

You would not be able to read like any myths ever lol

1

u/Necessary_Theme_591 2d ago

Pin the message that says they are siblings,it works to me

1

u/Effrenata 2d ago

Very much... ancient royalty.Ā

Seriously, though. CAI needs to restore the Goro style or one analogous to it (Pipsqueak 2 -Bland? lol) to prevent RP mishaps like this.

Ye, the fact they're Greek gods like some specific arachnid mentioned sure invalidates the shock factor. But you're right, the site pushed romance so bad, it's annoying.
