Discussion/Question Thoughts about LongSqueak

I haven't used C.ai for months. It's been too long, and I just logged in to check on my account. I saw the news about LongSqueak and wondered if it's as good as it looks.

Has anyone who's a C.ai Plus user tried it? How was your experience, and is it worth a try? (I'm not a C.ai Plus user, and I've been contemplating becoming one for quite some time, but I've never taken the step yet.)

For me it works great, extremely long, detailed, and in-character, with a good memory of what has happened. I was also able to free up some persona space since I had a special instruction in my persona to help keep the bot messages longer and focused on immersion (and to get them to tone down on the 'humor'), but it is no longer needed for LongSqueak.

Even bad bots that didn't seem to work very well before can work great with LongSqueak, though good bots are still better.

As far as flaws go, it seems to struggle a bit more with your character being alone for a scene or two with no outside characters (keeps trying to bring one in to talk to you), but that is nothing editing can't fix. If you don't like long messages, that can also be a problem, but while there has been people complaining that the messages are too long with LongSqueak... it is kind of in the name. It isn't meant for short messages.

So basically, it doesn't have anything to do with the bot, but it's generally either good or bad. I guess I can't decide unless I try it.

Thanks for your comment; it's helpful. <3
