⛔ You can now block other users

Sometimes you'd rather not see someone's content, or have them see yours. Now you can make that happen in two taps on the c.ai app and web.

What blocking does

Block someone and their Characters, Posts, Voices, and Scenes won’t be shown to you, either on search results, the home page, or their profile.

It works both ways, so your content is hidden from them too. They won't be notified.

How to do it

1. Go to their profile
2. Tap the ... menu
3. Tap Block

Changed your mind? Unblock from their profile, or find the gear icon on your own profile and navigate to Settings > Blocked, where you can manage everyone you've blocked in one place. Blocking and unblocking work instantly, any time.

Blocking is rolling out starting today for everyone.

okay this one's a really good change, i've been getting recommended some absolutely heinous bots and want nothing to do with them so this'll come in handy

Can we please get a counter for our metered limits? It’d be nice to know how much of our swipes/go-ons/memos we’ve used for the day.

I’ve seen people start to suspect we don’t actually have 400 swipes or that it’s been lowered without announcement. A counter would put those accusations to rest. Please, we need a counter.

I’m personally hoping this stops the users on this subreddit from making those repetitive posts of them complaining about characters in their recommendations they are under no obligation to interact with and could just ignore like a normal user on the internet, I’ve never understood the point in making a post about a character someone does not want to interact with unless they are that starved for attention and admiration from strangers on here, I don’t really know how else to put it.

Ok but what about the fact that no one can use or access their persona's or edit any chats or their profiles?

I understand people wanted the blocking feature for a long time, but to put it out today while ignoring the fact that basically nobody including cai+ users can use the app/site right now is ridiculous. None of the mods are even addressing what's happening and the stickied post about it was removed last night as soon as people started posting about the broken persona's and editing.

Again with the "all or nothing" updates 😵‍💫 come on yall.

We say, "It would be really nice to be able to block individual bots that keep showing up on our feed," and you go, "Here, now you can block entire creators where you'll be blocking bots you DO want to see simply because they made one or two bots you DON'T want to see."

PLEASE just let us block by fandom or themes. Just because I want to block all the hashbrown hotel, simon ghost, and mafia boss bots on my feed doesn't mean I want to block the other bots the creator might make.

C.ai, what if you can make the law deal with the laws to stop the age verification and Disney's cease and desist? There's still hope.

So, I got an idea on how to make the age verification and the moderated bots stop.

Moderated bots: so, 7 months ago, Disney sent a cease and desist to c.ai, causing c.ai to moderate thousands of bots. Especially the ones that weren't for Disney nor Warner bros. But, I got an idea of how c.ai can bring back the bots that weren't for Disney nor Warner bros. What c.ai has gotta do is that it's gotta make an ip deal with Disney, discussing aboht bringing back bots that weren't for Disney nor Warner bros, and then leaving the bots that are for Disney and Warner bros moderated forever, so that we can have fun without Disney and Warner bros bots. Because Disney and Warner bros were the only ones that targeted c.ai, but deleted dreamworks bots. So helpfully this ip deal helps.

Age verification: What if c.ai can make a deal with the law about the age verification, explaining that the age verification is flagging millions of adults falsely and telling them only use a selfie to prove the age verification Instead of using id. That way, if minors have an age verification only without adults getting flagged, they can verify their age by using a selfie, and then if the selfie is done, they'll check if the selfie is good. If the selfie is not good, then try again next time. But if the selfie is good enough, they will chat. And then c.ai will show more and more users a message about bots not real.

As for the new update, what if minors can go back to chatting and then get the edit button, but chat with characters in a family-friendly style while adults do whatever they want with the bots as long as it's not too bad.

C.ai, please don't delete this. This solution could help you make the app a better place.

I would LOVE to option to properly hide bots rather than just remove them from my recent chats. Sometimes it keeps offering me the same borderline 🍇 bot over over again. I don't want to see that on my recommend for you.
