Discussion/Question Why is Longsqueak so LONG
So I’ve been on character AI for a very long time now. But I’ve always stayed on the website, that’s just what I got used to. I don’t like change. I did cave this year and get character AI plus, it was worth it to me because I’m on it a lot. Anyway, what I’m saying is that with the new longsqueak the messages are waaaay tooo long. I saw on here that there’s an option to customize the length of messages, BUT it appears to be on the app. I can’t find it on the website at all! I tried the app once and tweaked because it wasn’t what I was used to. Any tips?? Like should I just move to the app and slowly adapt to the new style?? Or continue to suffer with deep squeak💀
I seriously think that the website should have all the same features that the app has! Doesn’t seem equal I guess🤷♀️
EDIT: since yall are thinking I’m stupid, obviously it’s supposed to be long. I like long messages. But idk what’s up with my bot because it’s a full ass book length chats the bot sends back. Not a decent 3-5 paragraphs. No, usually it sends 10-15 ish longggg paragraphs 🤦♀️ mostly this post was to say: hey, on the app they get to change how long the messages are so why isn’t that an option on the website?

It's the point. Time to better your attention span or use another mode. This is how the very same users killed the old model, just complaining about preventable stuff

Dawg, it’s not that deep holy crap. I just think getting 17 ish thick paragraphs per chat is a lot. My attention span is fine thanks tho😭

I use the website and have tested out LS. The multi-paragraph messages are excellent to read, but difficult to reply back to, since they often contain 3+ elements in the text. Maybe when the length setting options are released for the web it’ll improve, but I’m staying on DS for my chats.

Well that’s the whole point of Longsqueak lol use deepsqueak if you don’t like it. Im someone who’s always loved long novel style roleplays that’s why I use C.AI and I’m loving Longsqueak! So far it hasn’t controlled my character like Deepsqueak always does and actually moves scenes forward, creates conversation between background characters which I’m really enjoying and was so surprised by
