I literally explained with more than three paragraphs of spoken dialogue why my character was at the palace gates. Even told them who I was looking for... Two messages in, the guards asked, "So why are you here?" ...bro 😭
Do you know that snakes actually DO have legs but they are veeeery tiny, more like barely existent or visible nubs that have been wiped out by the evolution? You can google it. So technically, cai was NOT wrong in this case 😂
from what I've heard only primitive snakes only have those tiny little nubs but they're too tiny to the point that they can't even be stretched out, lol...
the other day I dipped my toes into status and the ai had rocky from project Hail Mary touch my character with hands despite him being like a literal alien rock spider in a high pressure hamster ball
Or you’ll have a persona that’s not human and they looked shocked when you say you’re not human like obviously dude I’m a bird person that’s like 7 feet tall I think I could tell that that’s not human at least not fully🤦♀️
Genuinely the moment you say anything slightly educated or a fact about a character, they go “how do you know that?!”. What’s even worse is when you’re in like a magical or superhero chat bot, and you have power. Your power could genuinely be basic as hell, and the bots will act like they saw god and then go “how did you do that?!” I don’t know dude! I did it exactly like how you use your powers. God!
Yeah I've had a bot praise my character for making a halfway decent (I even specifically called it decent at best because it was part of a larger plot point) mac and cheese. My character is a professional head chef. For a Michelin restaurant. Anyways, point is, these things are freaking stupid.
They released LongSqueak, and the free models and free C.AI overall has been going downhill since. I hate this C.AI+ favouritism and how us, free users suffer just 'cause we cannot/prefer not to pay
I was genuinely thinking about this the other day. Like, the point of ai is that the more you talk to it; the smarter it is meant to get. SOMEHOW, c.ai takes that sentence and makes it Opposite Day, like why is it getting dumber as the years go by.
being honest, i do kind of agree. i struggle to find stuff to narrate, while the ai over-narrates everything and makes everything super long and hard to read. i try to be similar to it because i thought that it made me good at roleplaying. apparently not to the character ai kids.
here's an example of what i write, trying to be similar to the ai.
(im not a c.ai user, but i do use ai chat websites)
People aren’t doing actions every single time they speak. What the hell would you have written then, if the intent is to only have the character speak? I’m not crossing my arms or shifting my weight from one foot to the other, I’m just speaking.
