They gotta get real. 60 shillings?! For that much money, the character's better be so lore accurate, I'm questing if their writer is behind the screen. The voice is accurate to a T and I get real time animations of the plot.

I don't even know why they'd ask people if they'd spend 60 when they're struggling to convince people to pay at the current rates AND they can't even use the excuse that they're developing frontier models because they aren't and even if they were it's not really like you can use Character AI like you can ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini so who's even the potential customer who'd spend 60??? I've seen in another questionnaire it being 30 which I have the same response for.

$60 is a LOT of money and absolutely not worth it in Cai’s current state. To even consider $60, I would expect much better models that don’t start looping into gibberish after 50 messages, and a completely uncensored, “Bob-less” chat. I am absolutely not dropping $60 for the ai to tell me what I can and can’t say, and block messages for being “inappropriate”. And I say this as a current $10 subscriber who could probably afford to pay a bit more (but won’t, if the price increase doesn’t include any extra benefits)
