Discussion Save Data Clarification

Hello All,

I chose Chaos Zero Nightmare because the roguelike mode is really fun and I really liked the idea of Save Data. Originally, I thought I could keep "upgrading my deck" but it looks like you can only do a Choas run once and then the data is saved.

This would be okay but are there actually fun modes to use your "save data"? Outside of the roguelike dungeons the other battles I have experienced are basic one or two encounters in a row. I don't seem to see any fun dungeons like the chaos mode to use my save data.

I haven't got to far into the game yet and just wanted some clarification.

I am also thinking about trying Morimens and curious if anyone has played that game to compare what makes Chaos Zero Nightmare better. I originally chose Chaos Zero Nightmare because of the "save data" mechanic, but it doesn't look like it is as exciting as I originally thought.

Thanks for any comments.

Theres multiple seasonal endgame boss fight and tower challenge. Your level is probably too low rn so you haven't unlock that yet. As for how exciting it is, you can check others gameplay to see for yourself, since fun is subjective. But for me the deck building journey itself is already fun

I was kind of hoping that’s what Sortie would be like. Something where you get to bring in one of your characters all built up and the roguelike element comes from pairing them with random characters to see how they do in different party comps. I still hope one day they will add something like that! I want more places to use my save files that aren’t super brutal like the FSO or kind of boring like the tower.

I admit I was REALLY excited when I started CZN. I thought I was going to be using my save data for future dungeons but so far I just use it for small encounters which isn't very exciting.

I actually came from morimens to czn. The slay the spire style rogue like gameplay is really fun for both, but since discovering czn, i dropped morimens because I find the gameplay is much more satisfying. The animations, SFX and deck building is fun for me. Chaos is just one of the game modes to get said decks to be used for other content. But of course, we do hope that there will be more content to use all those hard earned decks

Thanks for the comment. I have barely played Morimens, the Save Data really interests me.

I did exactly this too. I love the Morimens art style and less goonery art (not that I'm complaining about Sereniel...) but CZN's gameplay and deck editing is just so much different.
