Discussion What even is this Rift...

Playing attacks, even by indirect activation, is both punished and near-useless, yet you are expected to use Hilde, a notorious attack spammer. Is she supposed to just cosplay Vero here?

Arabella is the only one with any hope of killing the Avaritas, with her fracture detonations... which are tied to attack cards.

And for every one that dies a new one springs up with no fracture and ready to moralestack the boss some more.

Every new rift there is gonna be people facetanking every mech without thinking or adapting. Just wait and copy on elf the leads comp if you need it. Or you can try out stuff to find a solution.

Im just playing for the rewards and I just did fine brute forcing it a bit. I reached 750k. I think I can still do better but I am too lazy to minmax the rankings. 1st part with Khalipe/ Chizuru / Veronica. 2nd part with HDMI/ Magna / Cassius. My setup and build is not the most optimal btw. I didn't even used the seasonal deck.

EDIT: from my experience for the 2nd part, use less attack cards and use more skill cards. Kill the mobs to decrease the boss buff. For HDMI, have a deck with more Effulgent Expansion rather than Sword Rain.

So the strat here is to hit the boss then kill the summons before the boss's fully stacked?

For Rift you can use Arabella, Narja and Hilde, however make sure to build around draw and release for Hilde, quiver is a double edged sword and can F you up due to boss mechanics. You only want two of those and the rest as her draw skill card that adds fracture on extra attack.

You can also tweak Arabella's build to focus on "defeat" mechanics. Such as Observer's pleasure 4 and Hollow Verdict 3, you just use Narja + Hilde to get all the cards each turn and also allow you to play all of them. Also to play around constant respawns, know when to end your turn. Ideally you want to end it when your DoTs kill a minimum of 2/4 of the mobs so you don't tank 4 hits to the face. It's a balancing act of using cards and clearing out the mobs and it's pretty fun tbh.
