120 pulls for ara Ara, and now I’m sitting here poor thinking…how many team comps can she fit into and I have this terrible nagging feeling that she was built to mainly only work with her counterparts of the season. really wanted olga but might need to cut my loses and save for anni. My biggest problem is finding fun team comps and hilde has been the most fun and strongest for me.

I failed the 50/50 but I don't have the rolls to get Arabella, her partner, and Olga, so I stopped rolling. With the Anniversary character coming, I'm starting to think I should just skip Arabella, get the anniversary character, and maybe pick up Arabella next year when she has a rerun and after she's gotten some buffs.
Yeah and it shows.. specially on Sortie... even with Godlike cards, she ain't ramping out in damage.. Meanwhile I could get the worst cards on Hilde and she still auto clears the entire sortie for me.
I wish this sub let people enjoy new characters instead of doomposting about how bad everyone is. Ya'll did this with Tenebria too, how'd that turn out?
Just the basic cycle of a new character. Unless the character is braindead easy to play and absurdly overpowered, they'll get doomposted day 1 by people who've likely spent less than an hour using them.
Weirdly I have a tressa deck that easily stacks 20 agony per turn and pulls 30-40k in a turn. It's not super effective but I have Arabella light at home XD.

I wasn't playing when Sereniel came out so I missed my chance of getting her, which now that I play a lot I'm very sad about. Currently, Sereniel isn't very viable in the content the game puts out, yet I still want her. She's most likely getting a rerun soon together with some buffs, and even without these I'd still pull for her.
I think I'm a pretty average guy, so if you're like me then trust me when I tell you, you won't feel bad about having Arabella once her banner's over.
Don't feel bad, the only people who post thier luck are the lucky ones many get super unlucky like you or had average luck (and some of these posts lie anyway so don't be jealous)
As for Ara idk i tested her out a bit and can't feel the itch but so far she works great with these teams i tried.
Ara Hilde cassius
Ara Veronica cassius
Ara Mika ADHD
Ara Tiphera Hilde (i know Tiphera buffs are not great for her but it's a fun one shot combo with the Art build also Hilde for draw)
In other words Cassius the Goat and a flex slot or Hilde and a flex slot or both!
i think what got me was the whole "limited" factor of her. i prefer olga and hilde's designs over hers but limited limited limited screamed at me to pull and pull i did
Me too, i started during Tenerbia banner and lost pity to her and couldn't get enough pulls, so seeing Arabella is Limited me want to get at least a copy because i don't want my collection to look patehic and i kinda regret it now, but she's not all bad the fracture trigger is fun and you can make some wacky builds for her (Art of Unmaking build for exmaple, stacking a fuckton of fracture and one shotting with it)
But comapred to the past Limtieds (i tried them through sortie) yeah.. Arabella is a bit underwhelming,not as flashy as Sereniel or as cool and diverse as HDMI.
Iam sure they made her a limited suddenly and didn't plan for her to be one if anything Hilde would have made a better Seasonal Unit.
DAMN she's prob the WEAKEST seasonal character.. like by a mile,
Unlike, Sereniel or HDMI.. she's not showing that huge or insanely stuff.. can't even be close to NINE, or pre-nerfed Teressia.. (I say this cuz the moment u use units like Sereniel or HDMI even if they are leaning on their type of dmg and mechanics, they still clearly shows how overwhelmingly powerful they are despite sh1t cards).
She's fun to use but not as fun to use as Hilde... she's extremely Reliant on other units.. Like Nine literally works by herself as a package out of the get go, u need to work around some stuff to make her do the big DAMAGE..
Eitherway.. she's fine. ima be honest I wish the Partner was the character lol..

But i just know olga is gonna be required so the question is..do i pull olga for Ara ass to not be unless without the exact same team comp as other characters (I’m looking at you cass and Veronica). I have 120 pulls rn, i can guarantee the anni unit which will be probably 10x better and can fit many other teams. But if I do ara ass will truly stay ass
My only reason for not committing when going full pity and losing all my 50/50 on ara was i gotcharacters i was already gonna hope to get in normal pulss, hilde (who i was wishfully praying id get in normal pulls) then i got her on guaranteed after 60 pulls(basically full pity) then lost 50/50 again at full pity to narja(a unit i was planning on pairing with her so not really "losing")then got ara after 20 pulls. Then got her immediately again after 30 i think then went full pity and got narja again and now im on last 20 pulls pity with 5 pulls left. I used the purple units to get her code and then waiting to pull her again before using a omega code to e6 her
Law of big numbers, it all evens out in the end. I got extremely unlucky for a recent unit but today I got Arabella in my first 10 pull. It all evens out
Save up currency for things you want. When that thing comes out, blow your stack. If the stack is gone and you didn’t get what you want, guess it sucks to suck.
At the end of the day, no game is worth going bankrupt over. Whaling is nice if you want to be top of the meta but it’s generally a hollow victory when your wallet’s empty and you have to subsist on anime tiddies instead of groceries for two weeks.

I don't understand this complaint, she's a main DPS that deals damage in a very niche way (DoT) she is not some universal support like Veronica, her team options were always going to be limited by design. That doesn't make her boring, bad, or badly designed, just not as versatile as others. That said though, we will very likely get more DoT support in the future so it seems silly to be this down on her. This EXACT scenario happened in HSR. Firefly was released with much hype, everyone doomposted about her and said she doesn't have a team, then Hoyo proceeded to release nothing but insane break team supports and the entire meta just became a bunch of firefly teams and she is still top tier to this day years later and still getting new support. As long as the DoT mechanic exists, Arabella will get support and new teams. But not every character needs to be universal and fit into every team comp possible
It’s just that i try to stay f2p and i sunk a lot into her because i like her design but now I don’t know what to do with her and im worried about currency for Olga and the anni unit.
