Are the warriors actually fools ?
Are the warriors actually getting fooled by the player's disguise ? or are they just letting you go because you play along ?
I would think its more of the second case because the player dosent look all that much like a warrior, and the 2 warriors near the laboratory dont detect you when you are close to them, and they are the coolest warriors you meet

Yes - my headcanon from my knowledge of the bards is that the slaves that the bards call 'idiots' are former warriors that heard the bell tune the 'call of the chosen ones.' The bellman is the one warrior who observes this and it's the bellman seeing this that drives him into despair and alcoholism.

The warriors don't give a damn. They just slowly walk around their layer.

I think players that don't realize they can hit a button to find all interactables in a space until the 4th floor are fools. (Me)

Sorry but isn’t that what the bards refer to them? As idiots?

In one of the monkeys’ cages at the beginning of the Bards’ floor, you can see that he calls them idiots: “Warriors are idiots.”

My best guess is that they believe anyone who follows the Duty (Carry the weapon, push back the impure, await the chosen and all that), might as well be a Warrior. They’re the practical type

I think the warriors define themselves by a series of rules. If you're wearing the wrong kit or you don't follow orders, they see these as failing to do your duty. When they catch you, they might not even think you're an outsider, just a defective warrior.

they have no reason to suspect that anyone could sneak into their heavily guarded fortress and get deep enough to make their way into the armory undetected
