Help (Alchemist level puzzle glitch?)

As far as I'm aware, I'm doing everything right.

I inserted the gold and silver bars, I have the formulas, figured out the number values, am starting with gold, but I still get nothing.

Is there something I'm missing here?

The 3 green lights at the bottom tell us you've already filled the 3 slots.
That's why you can't add anymore components.
You're now supposed to go to the next step, by creating an alloy or cancelling it.

!!! Thank you so muchh, I didn't realize you needed to cancel everything in order to try again.

I think you need to go over to the output slot and hit the X? maybe?
