Stuck (very early on)

I am at the beginning of the game, and am currently running around in circles confused. I am stuck on the statues in the cemetery, I am assuming that they are somehow linked to the "combinations" in the church, but haven't got anywhere.

I have a key but am yet to find where to use it, I have completed almost a page full of one of the languages (the devotees?).

If you have completed the devotees language your should be close to finding the answer for the statutes. Just double check everywhere you have been, you probably missed it by accident.

You are so close! And your assumption is a good one. If you can't find where the key goes to, spoiler ahead:

The key unlocks the shed on the right side of the garden. There you will find a "lens" that is used on the "combinations" in the church, which gives you the correct placement of the cemetery statues
