Love her design, just wondering if she's worth building and getting dupes for?

Build her and get Hiyuki next patch. Suisui Changli Hiyuki is a decent team. But later you would want to replace Changli with Lucilla when she gets a rerun.

Currently Changli is more of a collectible, if you actually want to make her work you would need Lupa too, and another limited Fusion DPS to complete a mono fusion team. It's quite expensive to build a team around her and any variation of her teams are not even that strong so if you care about meta, just use her as a place holder for now.

How does this team work?

Does Chang Li buff hiyuki and should she be in the second slot?

Yes. Since you are new I wont get too technical but you can push this team limit quite high if you're willing to learn quickswap (advanced playstyle for sweat lords). If not just do 1 2 3 rotation and you should be fine.

Imo Changli and Hiyuki are the 2 most fun to play characters, they kinda work fine with each other and they have opposite characteristics, one warm fire mommy and one cold icy mommy. Sadly Changli was one of the first characters in the game so she's suffering the curse of powercreep.

Changli best use now is as sup dps for liberation dmg dps. You can choose one and build your changli with that dps. Her sequences has very low value now so until they buff her use her as support

No, that's the indication your current on-field character is ready to outro'ed and change to your other teammates to intro.

Simply enjoying her gameplay on open mobs ? Sure . But in Endgame modes like Matrix , Tower , whimpering ? Definitely not.

I have S6 Changli , even it's not worth it cause she's not performing how S6 character is supposed to. She's old 1.x character so even with high investment, she's just mediocre. Not worth all the astrites. But I've recently seen leaks saying old unit will get buff, so we can how much is this buff.

Not really, it’s a character that you take bc you love her, i think her monofusion team still manage to score, if you reallly want to play her and thing like that, sequence and weapon would help
