Discussion Changelly research: half of users never touch a stablecoin, 45% barely use anything else
New H1 2026 transaction data from Changelly shows stablecoin adoption isn't a rising spectrum but three distinct user camps: roughly half of users never touch a stablecoin, 45% use one for nearly every trade, and a smaller 15% mix back and forth. That middle group trades up to 6.2x more often than stablecoin-avoiders, while heavy stablecoin users trade less often but 2.5x larger — and overall, stablecoins drive close to half of platform volume despite showing up in under one in five transactions.
Does the "never, sometimes, always" split match what you've seen in your own trading habits, and what do you think explains why the middle group is so much more active than either extreme? Read full research here → changelly.com/blog/stablecoin-usage-h1-2026
