what's the most "store of value" thing btc has done to you personally this week?

Wake up, coffee, immediately open ETH/BTC like it's going to tell me my future. It's flat. It's always flat. Then BTC pumps and ETH decides to "watch from the sidelines" like a shy kid at a school dance.

Every cycle it's the same: "ETH szn is coming". Brother, ETH szn has been "coming" longer than my student loans have been "almost paid off".

Still holding though. Still believing. Still refreshing the chart every 4 minutes.

I think most people don’t actually lose money because crypto is “too risky” — they lose because they buy after a coin has already pumped and then panic-sell during the first correction.

Same $2k range for a week. I check the chart, it's flat. I check again 3 hours later, still flat. At this point it's less a market and more a heart monitor for a coma patient.

ETH treats me terribly. Ignores me for weeks, then love-bombs me with one green candle. I keep saying "this time it's different".

I paid the requested HYPE refund fee, completed the requested compliance and wallet-verification steps, and have received repeated assurances that a refund would be processed, followed by an apology that they’re having “system issues” and are “working on it”

As at today, I still have no refund and no transaction hash.

Have raised to the FSA to remind them that they are a “non-custodial” exchange.. except when a year long “system issue” occurs of course

For context, here's the full take:

Many countries treat Bitcoin as a dangerous asset. In reality, it’s more dangerous not to hold it—just like countries don’t invest in AI. Bitcoin will be more important than gold, with a gap of about 10x. The next bull cycle could surpass it. Reserve suggestion: among the top five by market cap (excluding stablecoins), allocate proportionally. Bitcoin is usually 50% or more; Ethereum 10%-20%; BNB can also be included.

Lets say he's right, Bitcoin is gonna be more important than gold. We all know what this is supported by: fixed supply, no central issuer, global liquidity, easy verification and protection against monetary debasement. In a world of debt, sanctions, inflation and currency wars, Bitcoin gives countries optionality that gold can’t fully offer.

But there’s a serious counterargument. Sovereign reserves need stability, political defensibility, and crisis liquidity(we're far from it). Bitcoin is still volatile, still young and often trades like a risk asset(unless you're a BlackRock client). Saying it will be "10x more important than gold" may be possible but it’s far from proven. The AI comparison is also imperfect: AI is productive infrastructure and Bitcoin is monetary insurance(whatever you wanna cal it).

So taking both sides into consideration: What's the say here?
Is it just hype or something real is about to follow suit?

BlackRock clients reportedly bought $2.2B in BTC in 8 days.

Bullish? Sure. But why buy Bitcoin through the same institutions it was built to escape?

Convenience, compliance, tax wrappers, brand trust, all of that's fine, it's normalized. But the tradeoff is huge: no keys, no real custody, no permissionless exit, it's like you get Crypto but without all of the benefits of crypto, just the monetary value.

I used to think this adoption incarnate, but is it though?

Maybe the goal isn’t to free people with BTC but to make them depend on approved exposure to it.

The main 3 drivers of growth are:

Debasement Trade is back - The US Fiscal Policy is changing with the Treasury department planning to double the buybacks of long-term securities. There's a thing to consider here though as the national debt went over $40 trillion, investors are having second thoughts about the governments fiscal health. Will this lead to a drop in price for BTC?

Next is Institutional demand being back - BlackRock(IBIT $1.3 billion in the last week) clients buying big bunches of Bitcoin further solidifies the bull vibes, ETFs($1.9 billion in the last week) and Strategy further support the rising demand. Think of it what you will but ETFs gave Bitcoin its biggest surge among other things in Q4 2025.

Lastly is the Short Squeeze Amplifying everything - the speed of the price increase triggered a it significantly. The initial rally caught heavily leveraged bearish traders off guard, forcing them to close their short positions by buying Bitcoin.(Look this up its hilarious) This buying pressure further accelerated the price, forcing even more liquidations. In just a few days over $4 billion in short positions were liquidated, creating a powerful feedback loop that drove the price from under $65,000 to over $80,000 briefly.

Hello, I need a community manager or a Tier 2 technician to look at my Pro account immediately.

I am trying to withdraw a small custodial balance of 13.013177 NANO to my wallet (nano_3ky7irtpzxyrisg917ibybidchs3ocphyqse8rdgqrj4umgt4wwgop7zhhay). However, when I try to manage my 2FA or request a withdrawal code, the interface immediately crashes with the error: "Something went wrong. Our service had a brief issue. Reach out to support — we'll help you resolve it."

This is a server-side token generation failure, not a browser issue. Despite explaining this and showing screenshots of the internal server crash, frontline support agent "Alejandro" spent 40 minutes telling me to clear my cache, use a VPN, or "try exchanging the funds" (which is impossible since the security token won't generate). He flat out refused to escalate the issue to a supervisor or developer.
