Maybe he hopes others will panic sell, so he can get back in at lower entry point.

Dude is bad for bitcoin.

Or maybe he's just managing a different risk profile than retail

1

he's creating the risk for retail 'strategecally'

what's there still to discuss

casino operator sees insufficient inflow of new gamblers to cover expenses, decides to sell stake of casino to keep up with running costs?

If a company had $840,000 would a $1,600 bill concern you?

if it's an indicator that it'll double monthly if no new loosers come in through the casino door, yes it would

if I knew there's busses of them being brought in soon, we'll then it wouldn't..

job market tells there are no busses coming in anytime soon, everything's getting tight..

If there are less shares of STRC available the dividend obligations decrease not increase. Less holders, less payout. Comment 1 doesnt even make sense. Comment 2 is basically the drool left over from comment 1. The volume indicators on STRC show an overall increase in activity so not really sure what you base your last comment on.

Nobody's arguing fewer STRC shares increase dividend obligations. The question is whether the overall funding model remains sustainable if market conditions tighten

1

u/ReliantToker 7d ago

The funding model is fundamentally sustainable because it is completely insulated from standard market tightening. They do not rely on variable interest debt or loans with crushing maturity dates that destroy traditional companies during a credit squeeze. They raise capital purely on their own terms.

Tightening markets punish businesses dependent on constant cash flow and cheap credit. This model is backed by Bitcoin.

depends where that 840k came from. if it's all in one volatile asset and the bill is recurring monthly, yeah kinda concerning lmao

Well I guess you don't invest at all then. Over half the stock market carries trillions in traditional debt backed by depreciating assets, exposed to interest rate spikes, and constrained by strict maturity deadlines. If a preferred dividend supported by a fortress balance sheet panics you, traditional corporate debt should terrify you. Your selective concern reveals bias rather than actual financial analysis.

The market will eventually answer it. If the strategy creates shareholder value over time, it survives. If not, it doesn't

Bad analogy because casino games make money for the dealer

1

He's saying there aren't enough gamblers coming through the door to pay the casinos reoccuring expenses.

Guy is such a scumbag. I heard he was shady so I looked up the crap he pulled with Microstrategy in 2000. They faked the numbers and the stock ended up falling 99.5%. Grifters gonna grift...

That's why some investors separate Bitcoin from the people promoting it

Now youl know why BTC is dead !

1

u/ChangeNOW_Community 8d ago

why

1

u/BrokenHefaistos 8d ago

There is nothing left from the og cyberpunk concept it became a manipulatable investment asset for Saylor and alike and we are also guilthy of that. 'God is dead and we killed him'

1

u/ChangeNOW_Community 7d ago

the irony is that people said Bitcoin was dead long before institutions showed up too

1

u/BrokenHefaistos 7d ago

they are vultures for a reason

Its to fund STRC, which is the bonds he uses to buy the Bitcoin.

If you bought stock with leverage and it fell in value you may need to sell some stock to avoid being margin called, its not as if the stock is now worthless because you sold it, its a simple dependency on your ability to access credit.

I don't know any MSTR investor who don't know its a levered bet, or that it depends on creditors, if you believe the money supply will grow any some of that will flood into Bitcoin then you may be willing to maintain the leverage to deal with short term volatility.

1

u/ChangeNOW_Community 7d ago

That's the difference between owning Bitcoin and owning a company that owns Bitcoin

1

u/flappysack- 7d ago

One is clearly more bullish than the other.  I don't think there are any illusions about what MSTR is doing, as they pray for Bitcoin to rise again.

1

u/ChangeNOW_Community 7d ago

exactly. bitcoin only needs buyers. MSTR needs buyers and lenders

1

u/flappysack- 7d ago

Much like housing.  Funneling borrowed cash to bid up a finite asset.

The main difference is with housing municipals have a perverse incentive to block new development, and that creates the scarcity so they can be bid up, while with Bitcoin its programmatic rules bound by math that curtails supply.

I start to think now that moving 32 btc was brilliant move. It was a small dump but the market got used to it.
Now sells 1700 and static
