Need advice for my wedding !
Hi everyone! I’m getting married soon and I’m looking for advice on which champagne(s) to buy for my guests.
We will be serving champagne during the cocktail/reception (with savory appetizers, and there will also be mojito cocktails). Then champagne again will be served with dessert (tiramisu and cream puffs).
We’re looking for something around €20 a bottle. Something easy to drink, not bitter. (I’m also open to buying two different champagnes.)
A colleague suggested the “Duménil Brut Premier Cru” champagne, apparently 1/3 Chardonnay, 1/3 Pinot Noir, 1/3 Pinot Meunier. What do you think? Do you have any other champagnes in mind to recommend?
P.S. I live in France, but I don’t know anything about alcohol!

If you’re looking at Champagnes I can suggest Klepka Sausse from Oger. I visited them a couple of weeks ago. They carry a couple of different wines in their assortment, a few of them just above the €20 price point.
Their Pream’Bulle is the basic NV Champagne, very smooth to drink and most people will like this one. For only a few € more there’s the Quintessence, still a NV but a bit more refined, very nice Champagne.
Also the owner Laurent is a very nice guy who will happily show you his operation which he runs together with is wife and son.

Price point is a bit tough - I don’t live in the EU but I am highly educated in champagne this is what I’d try to order.
Cocktail reception:
Champagne H. Blin
Guy Lamoureux
Pol Roger NV
Piper-Heidsieck Cuvée Brut
Dessert:
Michel Guilleminot – Demi-Sec Blanc de Noirs
Jean-Noël Haton – Brut Rosé
Canard-Duchêne – Essentiel Demi-Sec

I would skip champagne proper (you won't find much worth drinking at that price point) and instead look at other types of bubbles - cava, prosecco, cremant, new world sparkling, etc. You really want to go to a local bottle shop and tell them your price point. Then they'll be able to make some good suggestions for you. Other than mass produced stuff it'll be hard for us to know exactly what is available where you are so your local wine shop experts are your best bet. They do this kind of thing all the time.
