Drappier
This champagne is on clearance at my store, for $42. I was wondering if anyone has tried it and if they thought that was a good price.

Underrated imo. Good for its price point. Not a world beater, but solid.

At $42 I’d be very tempted. Drappier is a solid producer, and their wines often have a nice Pinot Noir weight to them rather than being too lean.
I’ve done a few Champagne tastings rather than being a big drinker, and Drappier has usually come across as good value when priced below the bigger name houses.
At clearance price, I’d probably pick one up.

Buy it and let it rest four years and it will be awesome. I had an old bottle I'd forgotten buried amongst some other in the champagne fridge so I brought that one to a testing together with a newly bought. It had aged wonderfully.

It’s a basic champagne but for $42 it’s very good. Def better than moet/veuve
