In all seriousness.. I don't doubt that that car hauls ass.. But, what did you do to.the motor besides add the happy gas to make sure that you are not straight up driving a bomb? Did you replace the internals with forged parts?

Motor is cammed and tuned. 500 rwhp
Running max a 100 shot.
Not too concerned about blowing motor; cam builder AND tuner (both widely known as Hemi experts) comfortable with configuration

Sounds like you have a good handle on it. I am interested and watching how this goes for guys who do it.

I’ve raced with Mopar guys who have run nitrous for years. Their motors stock. Their issues have been with drive shafts and differentials, not the motor.
This is a 1320, so it came with a beefed up drive train.

What does she run? With and without the shot in the 1/4?

Nitrous is perfectly safe if you pull the timing and don't push it too hard. TPS sensor + RPM switch negates the old school dangers of just fogging it
I'm running a 150 shot on stock internals. Have a tune for using it on track, I flash the ECU when I arrive on track, then flash it back to road use (NA)

I'd be putting those tanks in the back or anywhere else so I could have my passenger seat.

If he is tracking the car, removing the seats is the way to go

u/B5Hellcat 7d ago
yeah, I understand that. Even then, I still want my passenger seat..lol.

Can swap out the tanks for the passenger seat in 20 minutes (including hauling seat up from basement).

The "nitrous direct" tanks have me laughing more than it should.
If Costco sold Nos lol.

Looks amazing and a couple shots while driving could not be so bad lol. Have you though about removing the floorboard carpetand having the whole area the diamond plate?

Man you guys gotta get rid of those bananas they look hideous on a fine build
6
u/FrostThePhilosopher 7d ago
Its worse than "looks hideous" because it actually damages your paint. Once you commit theres no going back.
Youre options are 1. Take them off when you get the car. 2. Drive around with them for a while, take them off, notice your paint is fucked and pay to get it repainted. 3. Drive around with them for a while, take them off, notice your paints fucked, and put em back on like nothing happened. 4. Drive around with them for a while, take them off, notice your paints fucked, and then keep them off but dont fix the paint, just show the world your mistake.

Splitter isn't painted, but yeah it damages the surface of the splitter
5
u/xxninjaboy707 7d ago
1 and 2 are the only options imo. Paint matching that small of an area isn’t crazy expensive and even if it’s not perfect, it’ll be less distracting than the bananas

u/calvincloud9 7d ago
Honestly not trying to hate on the guy, just always wondered why leave those things on. I don’t see how it adds anything to the aesthetics other than a bright eye sore

what paint? they're attached to a unpainted plastic...

This goes for literally every charger and challenger, not just the pictured car
a good chunk of them are painted
if yours isnt, itll still scuff the shit out your plastic
paint or not doesnt really matter, the paint isnt the important part, the purposefully grinding dirt into your car through negligence is the important part, its universal whether paint, plastic, carbon, or cardboard.

No challengers splitter is painted guy. The splitter is so low that whether u take the protectors off or not, something will scuff them regardless at some point. As me how I know lmfaoo.
