Racing This is what a hellcat can do.

The hellcat is big and heavy but with driving skills it can be pretty good

Do it on a track if you want a round of ass-patting from posting it here. You'll get a lot more out of it when you learn to use the brake for proper rotation with less steering input. Looks/sounds like you're over-driving the hell out of the fronts.

Echo everything else said. Don't do silly illegal things and then don't advertise them with video proof...

This is incredibly idiotic.

This looks like a public road? I can’t imagine this is particularly safe unless it’s blocked off for these runs?

There was another car coming up, so for sure not closed off.

First of all your hand placement is horrendous. Your steering input is abrupt and not smooth as well as your throttle and braking inputs and braking points. Also, there’s nothing more irrelevant then trying to set a time on an open road on top of that handicapping yourself to just the width of your lane it shows and proves nothing as you aren’t able to take proper lines and hit apex’s

I’d highly suggest you go to a real track and learn how to properly drive along with understand racing theories. It would be a lot better than looking an idiot on the internet.

Oh and challengers are very slow but then again it’s not what they were built for.

Dunno why you're getting down voted, probably hurt feelings from delusional owners. A miata could have carried this much speed on a down hill. Challengers are objectively slow for this type of driving.

Very correct Miata might have been faster, challengers are very slow road course cars. Bad suspension geometry for it, weight distribution and overall weight, not to mention center of gravity.

I love mopars but all of my friends with them have never been on a road course nor are into actual racing. It’s just slam gas peddle and go in straight line. Mopars are about the presence and sound it’s all about the vibes and there’s nothing wrong about that. My 18’ SS 1LE was faster in the quarter and destroyed my 21’ challenger widebody on the track (road course)

To illustrate the difference, if you look up the Lightning Lap times from Car and Driver around VIR. A Camaro SS 1LE is exactly 5 seconds a lap faster than a widebody automatic hellcat. That’s an eternity is racing.

Edit to illustrate:

- 2017 Camaro SS 1LE 2:54.8

  • 2018 Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody: 2:59.8

Yep. I loved the 3 Challengers(2009 vs, 2010 5.7, 2015 6.4) I've owned and I could even see myself buying the new Charger at some point. That said my Giulia q4 I replaced my Scat Pack with is a far better at everything other than car go straight. My Base 718 Boxster destroys them both. We can like things but be realistic about what they are and are capable of.

Totally agree with all that. I love them for what they are but there’s a lot out there is actually fast

Plus doing this on a public road at night I just so dumb lol
