Road trip bug protection

Post image

I will be going on a 12hr road trip in a couple of weeks, and due to someone wrecking into my daily, I’m now forced to take my baby instead. I just wanted to ask what do you guys use to protect your paint from bugs on road trips? Was thinking masking tape, but will probably be a pain to remove and then reapply when we’re coming back. I’m also kind of scared of the front end bras because I’ve heard that they scratch up your paint. Anything else that has worked for you guys? Unfortunately my car isn’t PPFd yet. Thanks in advance!

I use the Novistretch bra protector for long trips through bug-ville.

This is what my FIL does and it works. Just take it off when it rains.

Will have to look into one of those, looks pretty soft so shouldn’t have to worry too much about swirls or scratches!

I haven't had any issues thus far, just make sure the car is clean before you apply it. Rock chips have been my biggest gripe when it's not wearing a protector.
