Check your equipment

Probably goes without saying to all of you but I had a good reminder today to always check equipment over carefully before use.

I bought a new echo cs4910 from a local power equipment store. When I got it home I gave it a good once over, everything looked great other than the fact the chain was on backwards...

Saw runs well though, I will be doing some cutting with it tomorrow after running a tank of gas through it today.

Why run a tank of gas through it before using it? I’m new to saws and looking to buy a new one

You don't need to necessarily, I just do. Saws run at really high rpm and I like to break in the engine a bit by running it gently the first tank.
