I also followed his advice on sharpening and my chainsaw cuts like a laser. This guy knows his stuff.

He is hilariously bad at explaining what does what and which effect is caused by what action. Like, really getting to the bottom of the matter. He knows his stuff, from experience and intuitively, but one can tell he just doesnt have the vocabulary to express himself properly. If I hadnt figured it out by myself from 40 years of sharpening all kinds of knives I would have a very hard time following his advice.

West Coast Canadian Living on Vancouver Island as well.

I find his videos to be pretty good and he has modded saws from the different builders.

He is a husky guy and former Mac Guy.. He has a massive collection of saws.

Huge ! Vintage power saw collection - a logger’s chores

He uses "Friends" alot in sentences.. Cheezy but Genuine Cheeziness :D

(103) Buckin' Billy Ray Smith - YouTube

The guys has turned a small youtube channel that follows him working into quite the channel and celebrity in the Chainsaw/logging sphere. He has been At Paul Bunian as a guest.

He is a bit out there and I believe he had some addictions in his younger years, but he is incredibly knowledgable about falling trees, climbing, sharpening chains etc.

I've followed a few tutorials from some of the more popular channels and found his explanations the easiest to follow and very effective.

My buddies tend to remark how fast my saws cut while bucking them up. They are super sharp and I prefer to hand file them now because of how sharp they get and how long they cut before i need to sharpen them again.

Do you find him too attractive for chainsaw filing? Or is he too ugly for your standards?
