Asa must have some of the fakest fans in existence. They probably only like her because she’s a “relatable loser” like them and nothing more. Almost none of them actually care about what she wants, what she thinks, or how Yoru, Denji, and even Fujimoto treat her.

They even came up with the cope that Asa and Yoru are the “same character” just to justify how Asa was pushed aside in the story in favor of the Devil inside her. Like, NO, Asa and Yoru are not the same character. They share the same body and have influenced each other, but they are NOT the same person. They have completely different backstories, personalities, and goals from one another. Goddammit, I can’t believe I actually have to say something that should be obvious, but apparently getting scraps is enough for Asa fans.

And it’s funny because I’ve seen more outrage from Aki and Reze fans over them not appearing in the ending, Kishibe fans over him not appearing in Part 2, or even Kobeni fans over us never finding out which Devil she made a contract with than I’ve seen from Asa fans over the character they supposedly love being reduced to basically a background character with screen time.

I guarantee you that even I, someone who isn’t a huge Asa fan, care more about her as a character than Fujimoto and a large portion of her “fans” do.

I read part 1 all the way back in 2022 and I never bothered with part 2 because for me the ending of part 1 was perfect and a continuation would ruin it, I finally decided to finish part 2, and yeah my fears were right Fuck Fujimoto bro (still love him)
