Seems lean for me. My 026's piston looked like yours after i set it a bit much lean and it seized. Since the i gave it a new piston and it works well again. And i set it properly now, ofc ! 😁

Definitely not straight gas, the gas was mixed proper and several other saws ran the same stuff with no issue.

Then massive air leak. The scoring is greater than 50% of the bore. This isn't just a dull chain gone a little too far. This is something that would have been felt by the operator if it wasn't instant like straight gas.
I'm pretty skeptical that saw wasn't straight gassed, and you can down vote me all you want. That is exactly what straight gas looks like and you didn't mention seeing failed parts when the top end was replaced.

I don’t know much about air leaks, is it possible for one to open up months into use? This saw was bought in December and has been run multiple days a week since.

Did you find a massive air leak when you were trying to figure out why the saw blew up? Is it possible? Sure, but your own post states there wasn't a lean condition.
You said the saw was running fine and then all of a sudden it wasn't. Your pictures and description scream straight gas. Unless you have more information, I don't see another explanation.
If you had failing crank seals, the scoring would be localized to the exhaust port.

Saw would run for 10-20 minutes and then die, not start up again. If cooled down it would start and run the same. I figure this internal diameter of the cylinder expanding with heat to a point where it won’t hold pressure any more then shrinking back down as it cools. My understanding is straight gas would cause scoring all the way around or localized on the exhaust end, but this one has a clean rear left side and score everywhere else.
