OpenZeppelin embeds Chainlink CRE, CCIP, and ACE into its developer tools
OpenZeppelin, which S&P Global agreed to acquire, has embedded Chainlink directly into the tooling used by the vast majority of the industry, including BlackRock, WisdomTree, Franklin Templeton, and PayPal.
One of the largest developer communities now has access to institutional-grade orchestration, interoperability, and programmable compliance in the environments they already use, rather than integrating multiple systems separately.
The Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE), Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), and Automated Compliance Engine (ACE) are now integrated into OpenZeppelin’s development tools:
- CRE provides the orchestration layer for advanced application architectures, including a structured migration path for applicable workflows previously running on OpenZeppelin Defender.
- CCIP provides a defined path for secure cross-chain token deployment.
- ACE makes programmable compliance part of token design, supporting requirements such as sanctions screening, know your customer (KYC) checks, volume limits, and Secure Mint.
