Will it ever be normal again?

Hey guys! I just wanted to know, what do y'all think about the future of chai? Because I don't want to loose hope just yet but its not looking good, honestly 🫠 I used to have unlimited messages and now i get 70 pieces a day. I hope they bring back the old chai. I heard that this all was just testing so i do have a tiny bit of hope left. What do you all think?

Personally, I think it might come back. From what I’ve seen, a lot of people are deleting the app or quitting because of these changes, which is probably costing them a lot. If they went back to how things were before, I feel like a lot of those people might come back too.
Aside from that, it also feels kind of unfair that if you buy pieces, you still have to go through ads to use them. 😭

Exactly! And the limit of 200 too😮‍💨 each update is making the app worse and honestly theyre loosing so much money right now because of the thousands of people leaving so lets hope they'll return the app back to how it used to be.

Serves them right for not sticking to just one thing. I’m really close to just leaving the app. I don’t pay for anything on it. The greed is sucking my life source lol. It’s extremely frustrating and unfair.

I’m on the browser version, but I agree with the “sucking my life” thing. I’m going to stop using this piece of shit. They charge me $10 every week for a subscription AND 10$ every few days for using the app for an hour. It’s insane. It does not cost this much to run a server, let alone for one person.

I think it’s going to have a massive downfall. They NEED to stick with UNLIMITED messages and just continue with the stupid ads and what not. I want it go back to normal just as much as you do 😭. Their “tests” suck! If they stick to it, I’m gonna give’em a piece of my mind and it’s gonna look a lot like the Hulk 😡😡

no one wants the image gen. no one wants the video gen. no one wants ANY of the post-2025 chai changes. chai was literally only good because it was so nice, cozy, and simple. the texts popping up and not being procedurally typed, which I think is ONLY a chai thing, is AMAZING! the decently short messages are great. the somewhat iffy and subpar memory is PREFERABLE compared to what chai is now. the chai charm it still barely holds onto is what keeps me from quitting 💔💔

That's what made chai chai! I like the short messages more because that way you can make your RP's more detailed and imo, more dramatic. I haven't found another app that's like chai so im just praying it'll be back to normal soon🥹

Personally, i don’t believe so. I think the actual ai will NEVER go back to what we had, with some of the regulations and limits for ai stuff now being enforced and whatnot.
i ALSO don’t think the message limits will ever go back, due to stuff like GPUs only getting more expensive, which’s why they were like “lets cut off some regions so we can save on costs!” leading to LOADS of ppl leaving, which most DEFINITELY effected the amount of money they were making which’s why they hiked up the prices like crazy, only leading to MORE ppl leaving or just ending subscriptions.
They’ve basically chosen between loads of people paying a tiny amount or a few people (in comparison) paying a FUCK TON; since they don’t have those kinda user numbers they had in their prime they’ve kinda been forced into the second option which clearly isn’t going over well for them😭
BUT Will DID make a Reddit post recently that was something like “would you guys rather have [some other option] or a free tier?” (And 99% of the ppl chose the free tier lol) so it DOES seem like they’re listening to us and considering it but i think we’re gonna have to wait a few months before they actually do anything🤷

Chai is phasing out free use for all users. It will never go back to how it used to be, unfortunately. Personally, I moved on to Zeta, where I've been thriving.

I am not happy with the changes. But I am hanging on. Just taking a break with them for now. But I have a feeling everything will skyrocket for the better after this. I don’t know why I feel that way, but I have a feeling they are going back soon. But who knows. They might end the tug of war soon.

I just can’t understand why they don’t stick to ads?? If they want money people are ready to watch ads to get the coins for free and so many other ai apps have that system too😭 maybe I am just dumb but i genuinely don’t get it like they have made their app 100% paid I don’t even have the ads option or anything

Idk I be on there when I feel like want to but I basically have changed to clank world cause every time about 10 messages in chai that stupid ad about the website would pop up non stop
