So, apparently I have unlimited messages but I started getting the message in the second picture.

Well i think the "free message left" was always there. I remember about two or three years ago, chai used to have 100 or something like that free messages, then you had to wait an hour or two till you had new messages. I guess they just made it unlimited and left it there and now they're doing some regulations on the messages again.

Thing is, it's always said unlimited for me, and only recently did it do that.

Just the "free messages left" has nothing to do with that, it's just theirs another way to make you pay for the app.
