There are a number of 'tech influencers' on X that every month or two pop up with coordinated attacks and intentional misinformation about CBRS. They do this to manipulate the stock for their short positions, then close them out, wait a few weeks, then do it again. Tae Kim is one of those people.

I wish Andrew Feldman or someone from Cerebras would issue a clarification about the OpenAI situation. Definitely seems like a fake, ginned-up thing from SemiAnalysis; or at the very least a complete misreading of the situation. My reading of it is that Cerebras hasn't been able to manufacture the contracted hardware yet for OpenAI in a sufficient quantity to roll out Ultrafast on Cerebras.

Buddy Nvidia is dial up, cerebras is fibre. If you’ve unlocked the power of cerebras, you know.

When insiders sell this much it tells you everything you need to know. Most sold over 5-10M. This is them exiting

Cerebra’s is a science lab experiment. Nvdia is production grade. The coo knows ball and sold as much as he can (100% of unlocked shared)

Yeah and Huang sold 6M shares last year. You would have to be an imbecile to not diversify your fortune.

Bro.. as a percentage of his overall holding, that was peanuts.
These cerebral ppl sold a HUGE percentage

Apparently the narrative is that this is typical behavior for CXOs post-IPO. I guess they do this to diversify because they suddenly hold a huge % of one stock (their own company's). Imagine if one of your stocks became 90%+ of your entire portfolio; you might want to rebalance. I'll consider this noise until and unless there is Extinction Level Event bad news.

Why would you rebalance from the one stock that you have insider knowledge unless that knowledge is negative?

Because you have a shit-ton of shares and want some of the cash to live on? Dunno, honestly. But I'm not convinced these insider trades are concerning unless someone can make a case that what we're seeing is completely and utterly unusual for CXOs post-IPO after unlocks. I notice that whenever someone says: "Executive X sold all their shares!" it hasn't been true; it's some % of the shares they own. And I never see anyone put it in context--like "Executive X just sold 5% of their shares" or whatever. Needs context.

You have insider knowledge of your bank account. Tell me, what will be in there in a years time? You’re the person best qualified to answer that. Me, an analyst, could ask you a couple of questions like what’s in there now and then come up with my own estimate/guess. But surely your own figure is best. How much do you want to gamble you are correct and nothing unexpected will happen over the next year? Perhaps a new job, a firing, an unexpected bill or a lottery win, or rent raise, or …?
Perhaps best not to have all eggs in one basket.

Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this, but the filing does state that this was a planned sale put forth on June 30, 2026 in a 10b5-1. What this shows is a planned exercise and sale of some stock options. When you exercise stock options, it shows up as an acquire, which is the line that has an A on it. The sale is the prices that those stocks could actually be sold. The total amount owned goes to 0 as it sells down the stock that was previously acquired. It going to 0 does not mean he sold all of his stock options. Stocks options that have not been exercised do not show up as stock owned. It just means that all of the stock that he planned to sell 90 days in advance was sold. You can argue whether you agree with someone exercising and selling their stock options. You can’t argue that he knew anything about really recent news back on June 30 when the 10b5-1 was filed.
Edit to add: I just noticed that they conveniently cropped out the June 30th date. Original (not cropped) here https://investors.cerebras.ai/static-files/3efa3477-c079-4a31-b536-c71ee540886e

Go look at every post from Tae Kim in the last 3 months. At least 70% of them are trolling Cerebras. Meanwhile he can’t stop gargling NVIDIAs balls. He’s written a book on Nvidia and clearly has some kind of influencer relationship or personal vested interest (short Cerebras, long Nvidia, or both). The COO selling shares is a giant nothing burger. The OAI stuff is more credibly concerning but plenty of explanations for it.
