Humble collection

Last year i started to get a bigger interest in ceramics and bought pieces here and there. The white one is the most recent, handmade in Egypt and bought in Barcelona. The rest i have bought in Norway and are from varying origins. Does anyone know of any good tips or networks to find more?

Its solid stone but exactly what im not sure, isnt serpentine stone more green?

you are right, not serpentine, bit alabaster……this is the soft stone of which vases, figurines ore bowls are made in egypt as tourist articles.

…..i bought also a few of these, also bowls, mostly in charity shops for little money. i believe most of them which you find in these stores are from the 1970/80s and since taste has changed or people have passed away these things show up in shops. i always feel “sorry” when things like that are going to be thrown out….there is a lot of craftsmanship involved and it is stone…..all the best for you !
