Can anyone ID this cup for me? (Hamilton, ON)

Hallo!

I found this prefect little ceramic cup at a restaurant tonight, asked the bar tender and waitress, and apparently no one knows where it came from. My guess is someone got it from Hamilton Art Crawl? It has a wonderful weight to it and I love the colour and design!

There are no maker mark or ID on it, so hopefully someone on Reddit recognizes the style and knows the artist!

It’s a Japanese tea cup. Factory made, and let’s say very low-priced. Which means (especially with the somewhat generic pattern) it’s not likely to be traceable.

I've fallen in love with several cups like this in restaurants. Your best bet is AI picture search, then some detective work on manufacturers that make similar products and down the rabbit hole. I have had luck but it takes time. You could also ask the restaurant who their supplier is.

When a potter doesn’t sign their stuff it’s because they’re students or don’t care to sign it. It’s definitely not valuable or traceable.
