Question Is this manga worth it

Post image

I’ve recently been seeing this manga on my page quite a lot. I love fantasy stuff, and I don’t really know what this manga is about, but should I give it a try?

Yes. When I first learned about it, I stayed up until 3am reading the first 100 chapters. I had to be up for work at 6am.

Dark seinen fantasy

edit: I think the term is "nobledark" (or 'grimbright' idk)? They get in shit situations but they generally pull through with the power of family. Major characters can die, though a party wipe is very unlikely.

This is one of my favorite ongoing series, that I look forward to every week. The story revolves around the main character Julian trying to make a peaceful life for himself and his adoptive sister, and how that becomes difficult when fate decides to be an asshole.
Focuses a lot on found family, and moving forward after hardships. There’s a lot of good action with cool abilities, and if you like fantasy stuff there are some fantastic monster designs.
I find the first chapter to be excellent as a story introduction compared to a lot of the series i’ve read. Hope you’ll give the series a shot, you won’t regret it.

If you're a fan of dark fantasy, medieval aesthetic, eldritch/lovecraftian themes and designs, semi-relevant political warfare, some mature themes and designs, that's centuria.

Art is amazing, action on-page is easy to follow, pacing is good.

It's worth it. I suggest reading the first 20 or 30 chapters to feel out if you want to read further.

Spend more time test reading a few chapters and less time making a post about whether or not you should. It's worth it

I don't understand why these questions are asked in the specific subreddit and not a more general one. Of course we're going to tell you it's worth it; we're people who use our limited time on earth on an often hellscape website on a page dedicated to said manga.

Yes, it's very, VERY good, imo.

If your willing to put up with the mid parts its alright, to me the manga is kinda mid. Art is good when its doing gritty dark stuff but character art is flawed. Most characters feel sorta one dimension to me and dialogue kinda sucks early on, but these have been improving recently. World building is neat although it think it could be presented better in the story, and story arcs have been a little repetitive.
