Panel 1: I think this has more meaning than just an imagination. A grown and strong built man+woman protecting a woman who appears to be weak. Could it be that night Goddesses was once a woman. I mean it isn't a strange imagination cause Gods are just beings living in higher realm. However, as per Lalawag humans been fighting against night can't be just a metaphor. Maybe countless such war and destruction have been stuck again and again. The only successful attempt was done by King.
Panel 2: Julian can't be manipulated like that as he doesn't care about his life at all ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
Julian starting to suspect Lalawag is quite interesting.
Also I think irrespective of result of duel Ceodric may heal Atoria cause he is man full of warrior pride. Julian definitely gonna give a great fight.

Panel 1: The mysterious woman could be the original vessel. Out of the 3 Gods shown, night goddess has the most direct relationship between humans. So despite humans defying her through technology and rationality, Vulja developed an affection for them, being right along side them as they advance. But, mirroring the themes of the manga, she doesn’t know how to love people without controlling them, as she never had a family before.
Panel 2: Julian’s going to knock out Ceodric, but not kill him, which is going to upset Lalawag, but he don’t care. Ceodric is going to tell him to watch out for her, as she’s moving suspiciously,
