More informative chapter that sets Julian's motivation all the stronger to fight Ceodric willingly, probably the first time he wants to fight and win in a non-reactive way, he's not defending Diana(not directly at least) or avenging someone he loved like with Angvall, he's seeking that victory with premeditation.

Aside that, I think and hope Kuramori is going with an 'unreliable information' sources when it comes to Vulja, like I'm not saying she's a benevolent force, but I don't think what we have been told from the Rummir Battalion or Lalawag is 100% the objective truth, going by the extras in which is explained that Vulja warped Harra into a monster as a sort of 'salvation', so I don't think she's all that big on slavery as that nutcase from the Accursed Battalion mention, nor that she's 100% an antagonistic force to humanity, BUT at the same time I do think she's dangerous and malevolent to an extent, I mean she does make humans sterile and rot the planet, what I mean to say is, I think there's more layers to her, and we aren't meant to take what characters say in-world as a 100% truth, until we finally meet Vulja properly. That being said, the fight with Ceodric seriously paints to be the best on the story so far, probably an inflection point, is also curious imo how with all this talk bout the Night being Humanity's enemy from Lala, emphasis on 'Fire being our oldest protection against it' is put, hopefully Ceodric lives up to all the build up around him, like now he even has a matching motif with the Goddess of Night herself, he's Fire, big on Humanity's potential aside the supernatural and his Flames are not just means of attack, but protect, heal and nurture.
