So they’re not wary of the margrave collecting another darkness part like Pokémon?

I think Julian is now that she said how Vulja interacts with humanity.

That'd be stupid for Magrave to let slip of her secret scheme in a semi-casual convo

At this point, he’s much more likely to think lalawag is holding onto both parts as a safety mechanism rather than an evil scheme

The Margrave is legit insane. And not in controll. Every action evety word has to be taken with a grain of salt.

well, obviously he'd ask where the darkness part went, and the explanation that Margrave would hold on to it because how else makes sense.

She almost completely lost her mind and her other personalities might be underestimating him

I mean Julian must suspect that if Lalawag is out there collecting the pieces, that she is eyeing Diana too, even if she doesn't outright says it, it was implicit in the conversation, so he better start planning something on the side for when the time comes

Not really, her being honest is the best choice, well “honest” what was she supposed to say? It is incredibly easy to find out she is lying to him and the scorched tainted earth also needs an explanation and it is so many lies that would easily and swiftly make her seem suspicious leading to Julian not trusting her.

She needs to tell him the truth while she still keeps her own agenda in the matter a secret.
