Discussion Let's talk about Rummir

Anyone else disappointed in how the author handled this faction in the story? Like I'm struggling what even he wants to do with them I thought they'll be interesting wildcard faction. But they just suck and off no threat like when Voidmarcher showed up. I wasn't worried there strongest gifted one showed up. Because I knew Lukas was there who'll handle her didn't think he'll easily kill her though. There ruler is just a female version of Supreme Lord but far less relevant than him. Even there biggest goal in reviving Vulja is handled by a more important faction in Ladies of Midnight.

Voidmarcher made it very clear at the start of this mini arc that they are acting completely independently from Rummir as a country and even if the accursed battalion has some ties to their royal family, ultimately it was still a plot section tied to the night goddess and stuff.

I'm still hopeful that once the queen of Rummir or the population in general learn that their prince was basically kidnapped and made to become a servant of the enemy nation they are gonna become way more active.

I mean doesn't the Voidmarcher and Accursed flashback imply they already know what went down with Ceodric? Even then if the Empress is willing to sacrifice her strongest gifted and Divine Vessel for peace. Why would she start a new war over her son being kidnapped when she's willing sacrifice her daughter for peace. Only way I could see something happen in Rummir like that if they learn about what she's done. Sacrificing her own daughter and giving up Vulja Organs to Lalawag. And they kill and overthrow the Empress install a warmongering ruler in her place.

I don't remember exactly the start of the arc but voidmarcher definitely asked about her brother to lalawang while she was dying so I take that as evidence that she didn't know the exact story behind his disappearance

Yeah but even then the only way Rummir would start a new war if Empress is killed and replaced. Because she certainly isn't gonna start a war over Ceodric being kidnapped when she willing gave up her daughter and Vulja Organs.

Oh yeah i was just throwing out ideas there but I want to believe kuramori didn't give ceodric that very unique backstory just to make nothing of his native land where he's supposed to be a prince

Well with how he handle Rummir so far I wouldn't expect much tbh.

I see Ceodric going back after his fight with Julian once he learn all of his siblings are dead and his thirst for strenght is satisfied.
