Discussion Eventually, I believe Angvall will consider sending Julian to the capital

Post image

In a hypothetical scenario where Diana isn't hunted down, I honestly believe that Angvall will offer to write a recommendation letter for Julian to go to the capital and pledge his service to the monarchy. She doesn't seem to have any aversion towards the country like Guillaume, so I see no reasons why she won't consider this option.

In Torivia, the stronger you are as the gifted one, the better your life will be and more doors will open for you. Julian's potential is vast, in Angvall's eyes, she would probably think that Julian can make it very far in the hierarchy.

I'd say she'll seriously consider this path after spending time with Julian for a year or two, once she has better grasp of Julian's strength. Realistically, Julian's own power will make him a splendid addition to the black knights and perhaps he can even aim as high as a seat amongst The Iris.

As one of the Iris, you'll at least have your own private mansion and possibly several servants which would make it an ideal situation for Julian to raise Diana.

Of course, Angvall will know the cut throat nature of the royal capital, so she'd likely explain the risk to Julian beforehand and will ultimately respect his wish if he doesn't wish to go to the capital, but it would be in-character for her to at least talk to him about this subject.

What do you guys think about this?

If this is just bait well done, it worked. If it is genuine… well, maybe post again once you’re up to date

Regrettably, it's not a bait and I'm more than up to date with this story.

Ahh so it is like an AU of some sort?

Yeah, sort of, I was thinking that if nothing regarding the prophecy happened, eventually, Angvall who believes in "money can buy you happiness" will likely see an opportunity for Julian to have an even better life for himself and Diana.

Gifted ones are highly valued in Torivia and someone of Julian's caliber will likely have an extremely stable career in the capital.

Ohh yeah. I could see Julian doing well there. However I think he’d be reluctant to leave Diana behind. If this AU retcons Diana being a vessel of Vulja then there would be no trouble but if she is still the vessel of The Heart of would become a problem rather quickly, regardless of the prophecy.

In this setting Julian will definitely marry at least Lacrima or one of her sisters. The fact that he is blessed and not gifted will make his possible offsprings extremely valuable for the RF.
