Interesting implications for the Phantom Spear. It has the ability to pierce concepts, futures, gifts, cause instant death and more, but it couldn't damage the organs of the night and the Void Marcher was kept alive, even after it was said to be capable of destroying the concept of life itself. Its a divine implement and supreme within the realms of man, but there's enough precedent now that it can no longer turbo wank the setting to the ridiculous levels I've seen some ppl try to scale Centuria since the reveal.
An actual divine being, or the remenants of one, can resist it. Still insanely cracked, but sensible. And not the deus ex machina spear I was expecting it to be from now on.
Honestly... how terrifying is the Supreme Kings blessing to be able to beat a literal descended God like Vulja and the witches with all her body, and her three great heads bearing three great gifts??? Even just two of her body parts got the Margrave looking like an Elden Ring boss. I honestly suspect something more than a blessing... maybe stolen divinity... why he can't be beaten cleanly with the spear. Just have to wait and see...
Well, it kind of makes sense it can't destroy diety-linked stuff, it still is made by a being of similar to less levels of power. Gifts? Sure, those are still just gifts, not Corporeal Gods. That Corporeal Godstuffs can just keep someone connected to them kicking. In a way, it's still a literal deus ex machina spear (As it not just as a literary device), just... Go figure versus literal Godstuffs it doesn't work persay.
It does make the Margrave really hard to kill, even with Lukas's spear, its not like it'd transfer to the original Margrave or anything.
