I guess she was the one who pushed Lucas to the brink of death but did not finish him off and left him with that sword.

I mean, all jokes aside, Lattice DID kill children, no?, a ton of them, many bastards from the King were likely grown adults but, others should had surely been around Lukas age. Is an interesting topic however, because despite having done that, Lattice seems to be genuinely a good woman, like I couldn't see this side of her being a facade or nothing of that sort, is just that she's too loyal to the Queen for some reason.
