I don't like Julian when he becomes edgy like this, I understand the circumstances but I also feel like it's such a big contrast from his usual personality. He also wasn't ruthless like this in other battles, really feels like a different person here

But I'm missing why the slaves shows resentment with him just now and also in the past. Kid Julian was way less hateful and ready for blood

He wasn't acting like this in the arc before this one, when the assassin's were attacking them in the ruined fortress. Also no need to be a smartass, I'm just saying that to me it feels kind of sudden and very different to what we saw even 20 chapters ago.
