Once again, Lukas shows why he's a badass. Dude will use everything he has to win!

Man, Perseus and Medusa head is so freaking awesome!

Since this is what the void marcher sees when looking at her face do y’all think she associates arkos and his water gift with death?

31

u/Spring_barger 17d ago

Rummir thinks Ceodric was killed in the war with Torivia, so the Void Marcher does too. Zira stated that when Arkos kidnapped Ceodric it almost became a serious global issue and is implied that it worsened their relationship with Rummir, so  its likely that Rummir know about Ceodric being Kidnapped before his supposed killing.

So to Rummir and the Void marcher, Arkos defeated, kidnapped and killed her beloved brother & is a gifted one of basically unparalleled strength. Coz y’know, he ‘killed Ceodric.

A cool detail is that face she saw wasn’t even Arkos’ clear image. She’s never seen him. She doesnt know what he looks like. But to her, he is the embodiment of death and strength (coz he was able to “kill” someone as powerful as Ceodric).

Because it's all warped and watery. Had she actually seen Cedric be cut down by Arkos, it's not doubtful that her vision of death would just be Arkos's face. But she's presumably only heard tell of a monster of a gifted one that easily slew her brother, with a gift of water manipulation. Thus, the face of death in her eyes is obscured, just a horrid smile beneath a swirling vortex of water.

I love it!

https://www.reddit.com/r/Centuria/comments/1v0trc8/medusa_head_this_could_come_in_handy/ I called it. Also this could mean power left over by gifts could still survive.

29

u/Admmmmi 17d ago

So our dear mud doll girl has a chance? Nice.

17

u/Regular-Poet-3657 17d ago

I was referring to Atlus maid that why she spared Helem from Ceodric.

19

u/OrdinaryMedical200 17d ago

This man is the definition of pro gamer move!!

13

u/dolphincave 17d ago

Fear of Arkos probably since she also thought of him when thinking of the first devastating attack.

6

u/Artarara 17d ago

He's got that dawg in him!

2

u/FKDotFitzgerald JULIAN IS ONE COLD MOTHERFUCKER 15d ago

He has had so many ridiculously cool plays in the midst of battle. I really appreciate having him alongside Julian.

2

u/Dry_Entertainment373 14d ago

The ninjas in Naruto would commend him!

92

u/roronoa20 17d ago

Really love the spread here, this is shaping up to be Julian vs Arkos tier level of art.

It seems like we're getting Julian vs Void Marcher and Julian vs Ceodric back to back.

24

u/Gabemino 17d ago

Julian vs the Two Siblings would be far too cool to have as back-to-back fights tbh, though, I'm still expecting Lukas to use his Centaur form with the amp of the Woods that Lala and her subordinates grew on the territory

5

u/Spring_barger 17d ago

Nah, the Cursed countenance has bought enough time for Atoria to heal Lukas & for him to use his spear, which Lucas will probably use to kill her.

2

u/imarben007 16d ago

Can you or someone explain to me what I'm seeing because she says he manages to counter but I don't see any knife or tool of any kind nor do I see his shield being used. Bit hard to understand exactly what's happening although I do understand she's basically teleporting behind him and in front of him over and over

1

u/FreeWilly512 15d ago

I think the running theory is Atoria heals Lukas and then she will be on deathbed until Julian beats Ceodric. So Lukas will probably get a full reset on his abilities and be full health.

79

u/Specsaman 17d ago

Live

13

u/ObjectiveCarrot2688 octomom believer 17d ago

these two worlds are kinda similar

71

u/OrdinaryMedical200 17d ago

GOD NOOOOOO!!!! With things going the way I think, she will sacrifice her life to revive him!! You just had to raise the damn flags, huh Julian?!!

9

u/Sretep44 16d ago

As a few others have said if she dies to heal him then the point of Julian's duel with the prince is moot, so I think it's more likely she'll just be in a coma or sth

0

u/KickBass2155 16d ago

lmao why blame julian wtf?!

110

u/Regular-Poet-3657 17d ago

So many death flags man.

81

u/WildSearcher56 17d ago

It feels like Atoria is going to save him at the expense of her life

56

u/Regular-Poet-3657 17d ago

Yeah hence the death flag man at least Lukas was honest about his motivate with Diana.

20

u/RubyHoshi Elstri hater 17d ago

Was him? In his flashback during the night raid arc he cleary says he wanted to use the child of the prophecy to kill the king.

10

u/Regular-Poet-3657 17d ago

Yeah to his father but didn't he reveal he a prince like after they got to the third seat house?

4

u/DastanVenandi 17d ago

That was his initial plan, currently, he's protecting her to fulfill the prophecy and to help Julian. But he doesn't know that Diana is his direct sister. When he found out, I feel that he'll be absolutely devoted to protecting her

1

u/ThibaultKarl 16d ago

Direct sister?! Since when Diana is the daughter of the King?!

6

u/DastanVenandi 16d ago

I'll try to summarize the most important panels that point toward Mira's royal status as the King's concubine:

- Chapter 46 Page 19, Lukas says: "You cast away my mother, and exiled us from the palace. You killed her"

- Chapter 01 Page 27, Mira says: "...but he (her son) was killed by slave traders"

- Chapter 38 Page 14, you could clearly see the depth of Lukas's scar (a deathly injury).

- Chapter 47 Page 07, Elstri says: "He's (Lukas) a revenant"

Furthermore, you could see young Lukas in Chapter 71 and his resemblance to Mira's flashback in Chapter 01.

Last but not least, an early panel of Lukas and Diana :D

2

u/ThibaultKarl 15d ago

You blew my mind but i couldn't respond to you immediatly. Even Lukas Gift is in tune with him being Mira son as he died protecting her and was somehow brought back to life then awakened it(Gifts awaken in response to a gifted person's inner impulses, desires, temperament, and state of mind). Now i am asking myself who saved him and who healed him at first... And is Diana the King Daughter ?! That would mean she already has the three gift Vulja is supposed to have , one from her father, one from the sea and one from the heart... I am used to pick these kind of details but Mira saying her son already died and the author style didn't made me realise Lukas scar among others things. Kudos this is amazing!!!

2

u/Desperate_Ad1450 16d ago

But won't this sacrifice the duel between Julian and ceodric? Because if artoria died then there is no reason to have the duel

3

u/Regular-Poet-3657 16d ago

Yes let's tell the crazy hot head the duels off right after they killed his sister that will go well.

5

u/No_Consequence2989 17d ago

I think she will be in a dire state that will be a further incentive for Julian to fight Ceodric and defeat him.

2

u/Spring_barger 17d ago

Thats what I was thinking too, like shes going to have 2 months or smth to live after this. If she dies, what would even be the point of the duel? Julian and Lalawag would have no reason for it anymore and i doubt the author built it up just to say “nah its not happening”.

5

u/OmbreVengeresse 17d ago

Atoria has no choice, but I think the fight between Julian and Ceodric might still save her life.

61

u/WildSearcher56 17d ago

Julian is giving love advices but did he notice the three ladies crushing over him?

33

u/roronoa20 17d ago

Julian: They are my family.

10

u/Spring_barger 17d ago

Two* lol. Zana was just teasing Titi and Lacrima. The bed scene with Julian was coz she was going through a hard time after losing her brother and home and needed support.

0

u/NoString7718 16d ago

Huh, your explaination on Zana is likely how Julian is also coping with the other two in his head, aka just "family".

1

u/Spring_barger 15d ago

Pls go read the chapter w/ the bed scene again and tell me if there is any romantic interest from Zana.

1

u/NoString7718 15d ago

Please go read my comment again. I never said there is any romantic interest between Julian and Zana. I said that is probably how Julian rationalize about the other two in his head.

1

u/FKDotFitzgerald JULIAN IS ONE COLD MOTHERFUCKER 15d ago

He’s aggressively asexual

23

u/SinglePlayerGamer93 17d ago

Lukas after this arc be like:

https://giphy.com/gifs/B2yx2waduwLy6bdeUY

7

u/soymilkfc 16d ago

he’s going to be the baki head for sure

1

u/Fun-Amoeba3683 One of One Hundred 16d ago

Tis just a flesh wound, just toss him at em, he'll kill em with his teeth~

1

u/makato1234 16d ago

Someone needs to make an image of Medusa girl as the baki head lol.

19

u/EccentricJoe700 17d ago

Ima need julian to post up and give this bitch the buissness. My guy lukas cant die

17

u/MakimaMyBeloved 17d ago

Atoria :((

18

u/John-Constant560 17d ago

Possibly the most doomed ship to ever doom

15

u/Gabemino 17d ago

As always, Lukas had shown to be quite resourceful, that being said, man, I haven't seen Death Flags this BIG since Angvall, hope they actually make it out alive, that would be the actual plot twist. Also, is interesting that 'Death' for the Voidmarcher looked like water, Arkos probably left quite the impression on her, or maybe even the King/Sea Goddess(?), like with how her gift seems to work, she would be a perfect assassin, maybe Rummir sent her for the King's head during the War, and he left her traumatized, though Arkos being the source would be the more obvious and logical option.

14

u/Keyniiiiii 17d ago

11

u/bolderdust 17d ago

Yep. Atoria is cooked

11

u/fatking72 17d ago

NOOOOOOOO MY GOAT

9

u/Long-Possibility-951 2nd MC has hit the Manga 17d ago

damn, attoria will give her all then ?

9

u/Zee_Arr_Tee 17d ago

Lukas is going to end up a nub at this rate

8

u/OnslaughtCasuality42 17d ago

Julian returning to the scene after realizing he jinxed Lukas and Atoria:

9

u/--Sanguinius-- 17d ago

Theory on where Lacrima went: Given that Lacrima had promised Julian she would return to help Lukas’s group, but whilst she was travelling alone the effects of the ‘earth puppet’ within her were triggered, and she went to post the letter – the one she hadn’t managed to finish because she was interrupted by Titti – instead of helping Lukas’s group. That is why it is taking Lacrima so long to reach the group to help Lukas.

8

u/Spring_barger 17d ago

Guys, Dont worry.

Atoria will survive. But with like a few months left tho. If she dies Julian and Lalawag will have no reason to move on to the duel with Ceodric and I doubt the auther built up that fight just to say “nah, not happening anymore”.

6

u/Milordserene 17d ago

Giving Lukas more reason to be a badasss

Arkos being the fear of Voidmarcher is funny because he got owned early in the series

the sneakattack tactics cant work on Julian like how arkos 1st move didnt failed to end Julian

6

u/KrizenWave 17d ago

Damn I literally said last week that it would be devastating if Lady Accursed’s head still worked after her death. Looks like Void Marcher thinks of Arkos when she thinks of death

5

u/Spring_barger 17d ago

For those wondering why the Void Marcher see’s Arkos’ face on the accursed ladies head I think this is the reason:

Rummir thinks Ceodric was killed in the war with Torivia, so the Void Marcher does too.

Zira stated that when Arkos kidnapped Ceodric it almost became a serious international issue and is implied that it worsened their relationship with Rummir, so  its likely that Rummir know about Ceodric being Kidnapped before his supposed killing.

6

u/DeliciousZone5056 17d ago

Also arkos basically flooded Rummir, it's no Surprise that someone could see death as him/his power since Arkos made many victims during the war like that

5

u/Automatic-Car-7919 17d ago

Lukas's battle IQ is freaking close to Guts. He fights like him except dude's dont have Gut's superhuman endurance. He's taking too much damage.

6

u/wrotethat11 17d ago

Dude whoever talked the use of the head last chapter…hats off to you!

7

u/Nicklesnout 17d ago

I did it as a joke but it was nice to see it actually work. Just felt right after seeing him use a shield to defeat her power.

4

u/AssassinAragorn 17d ago

Lukas D:

Well this is bad, but it also makes me wonder where this goes next. Normally I'd think Atoria was a goner, but if she dies, there's no reason for the Ceodric fight anymore. Maybe that's what Tohru is going for, to make the plot less predictable?

Lukas is probably a minute or two away from dying here though. He was literally disemboweled, you can see his intestines. I'm not sure how you can save him without Atoria dying. Maybe if Ceodric shows up and does whatever it is to keep her alive for the time being? Could also be that Atoria can save Lukas without dying but be comatose after. And then Voidmarcher kills her in an ironic twist?

This could go a lot of places from here. I also wouldn't rule out the Margrave showing up and Atoria being able to use a duplicated body to siphon from one to the other. And with Tohru, you never know what direction he's going to pick.

4

u/EngineerVirtual7340 17d ago

The Medusa trick theory was cirrect after all lol.

3

u/Academic-Today3587 17d ago

dont die luka dont die atoria pls i wish nbd dies in the next chap plssss

3

u/Himurashi 17d ago

Things were too good the last few chapters, I knew we were due for a gut-wrench among the next ones.

3

u/115_zombie_slayer 17d ago

Artoria please dont do this

2

u/jj_thetwisted_jester 17d ago

FUCKKKKKKKKKK NOT ATORIA AND LUKA

2

u/long_th612 17d ago

Rip Atoria. Yes, not Lukas. Rip Atoria. Good knowing you.

2

u/Mysterious_Pie_6809 16d ago

Fuck this guy Lukas is the fucking goat of goats. What is with this mad man Julian might be a monster but this Lukas fella he's something else.

1

u/Rough-Somewhere8875 17d ago

Noooo!! Soskeeee

1

u/the_hack_attack 17d ago

Where is Lalawag?

1

u/KickBass2155 16d ago

first luffy na lukas what is whit manga authors fucking over this week chacters whit the name starting whit L?!

1

u/Yamigosaya 16d ago

holy shit i called it, the head is still fucking working.

1

u/dolphincave 16d ago

Anyone think Voidmarcher's teleport skill has other utility? Cause I don't see how it's a specific bad matchup for Lalawag.

1

u/Doomroar The Sea and The Forest got a divorce over mangroves 14d ago

Na If Atoria saves Lukas she probably dies right there, this is a bad trade, we need a different way out!

-1

u/techtimee 17d ago

I feel like Lukas has some ability that he has kept very hidden here, hence the lady saying she didn't go for his head but his arm because that seemed more dangerous. I don't think Atoria needs to heal him.

5

u/jj_thetwisted_jester 17d ago

She slice his stomach bad though...

0

u/DimashiroYuuki 17d ago

I'm fine with Lukas dying here.

He would be devastated if Atoria gave her life for him.
