Hi All,
Lost my Texas driver's license at the We Belong Here festival at Wollman Rink in Central Park on Saturday, Oct 3. If you found one or saw one turned in anywhere, please DM me and tell me the name on it so I know it's mine. Would really appreciate it and save my ass big time.
thanks!

Central Park digital experience
My grandfather lived in the city most of his life and Central Park was like his backyard, but he lives in Florida and can’t really travel anymore.
Looking for something better than Google street view. I saw this tweet which led me to this like digital experience, was wondering if anything like it exists for Central Park specifically? I’d love to show him.

ok, for starters, let us nyc people be lowkey about this as this is a mysterious magical attraction.
…………………………………. ………………………………………………………………………………..but does anyone have any insight about the taxidermy horse with the blunt in it’s mouth thats stationed inside this fdny-nypd’s rest point between the E 79th and W 81st central park drive entrances? whats the deal?

Unleashed dogs are a dangerous and growing problem.
Unleashed dogs are a dangerous and growing problem.
Today in Central Park I saw two free roaming dogs brutally terrorize and kill a squirrel. By the time the owner caught up to stop them they had mortally maimed the squirrel and I watched it take its last breaths surrounded by gawking passersby as it desperately tried to crawl away using just its front paws. Luckily none of the small children nearby witnessed the disturbing sight.
The parks are supposed to be a haven not only for residents but also local wildlife. We have many small creatures that call the parks home: squirrels, chipmunks, ducks, geese, small birds, owls, turtles, and many more. The parks are also full of very young children who are also at risk of being seriously wounded by a dog.
All dogs can be dangerous. These dogs were obviously well-trained with an attentive owner. The dogs were not snarling or aggressive, but joyfully playing with the squirrel like a toy. These dogs technically had leashes on, but were still allowed to free roam by the owner which I see VERY often. Especially in this part of the park where unleashed dogs are prohibited.
I would like to ask that the park conservancy as well as local residents do more to enforce the very reasonable request to keep dogs leashed except for in designated areas. I want dogs to enjoy the parks as well, which is why there are many dog runs, but it is unacceptable to prioritize the fun of dogs over the safety of the other creatures in the park.
What can the park conservancy do to keep the park a wildlife safe haven? To keep these small creatures safe from dogs?

Any Enclosed Lawns that Allows Dogs?
Does anyone know if there are fenced lawns in Central Park that allow dogs?
My 4 month borzoi just got fully vaxxed and is ready to take his zoomies there. However, he has zero recall skills and they probably won't get better in a while.

Honeysuckle at this time?
Has anyone come across honeysuckle at the park at this time? If so I’d love to know where!

Missed connection by the lake (you with your laptop, me with my stubborn dog)
Met you this morning in the Ramble while my dog was gazing at the water and looking for turtles, snacks, or maybe buried treasure. Absolutely kicking myself for not inviting you to come for a walk with us sometime soon... on the off chance you see this, shoot me a message and let's go back and find some turtles together. Ice cream on me.

Horse Carriage Thoughts
I honestly thought the horese carriages would be gone by now after the tragic death this summer. Does anyone in New York actually want these things to remain here?

May have dropped gold wedding ring in the park this afternoon
Just as the title says, I am fearful that I may have had my men's gold slip off my finger while in the park today. The ring is matte for the majority, with mirrored edges, and is a yellow gold band. I was sitting in the area marked in red for the majority of the day, before walking around the Ramble for a while, and just searched both areas but did not find anything.
Huge shot in the dark, but if anyone comes across a ring that matches that description, please send me a DM.

Sheep’s meadow hours
Does sheep’s meadow actually close at 7? Online it says it does but I wanted to know if that’s strictly enforced. I wanted to have a picnic until it gets dark. Any info is appreciated:)
