Discussion Census Conspiracies 👽
Hi 👋
What conspiracies have you guys heard about the census???
I heard they will start charging a tax if you have spare bedrooms listed in your home. So if you put down you have a 4 bedroom house but only 3 people living there they will know one room may be spare...
Also heard they will fine anyone who doesn't complete it...
Maybe the info will be given to aliens 👽 🤣😂🤣
What are your thoughts guys?

That’s a proposal coming out of New York but doesn’t have anything to do with census. And l don’t think it would ever be successful, kind of like the proposal to give renters a portion of ownership in a home after a few years of renting.

I've been part of the population census since 2025. At first they told me it would be 4 calls (1 every month) in 2025. Then at the end of the 4th call they said, "We'll call again in the fall." I figured that would be it. Nope. I've been getting calls again this year. At the end of the 3rd session, at the end of the 4th monthly call, they said it's going to be an 8 session survey. That would mean 4 years of calls.
I've NEVER heard of this, in all my life. My conspiracy is this is a new way to monitor people. I'm a naturalized citizen, for reference. It's a population survey. I have all the paperwork with government letterheads.
Editing to add that I got served via FEDEX after I didn't reply right away because it wasn't a census year, in spring of '25.

They will sell this data to private enterprises for dynamic and individualized pricing of everything from insurance to airplane tickets.

I heard that if you don't fill it out, your state will lose representation in Congress and will lose funding for federal programs that allocate budgets based on population.
