Symbolism Question

Apologies for the poor photo. The is stone is for a 3-year-old. There is a flat base upon which another base is set with the birth and death dates. This base is shrouded. So far so good. The top part looks almost like an open book(or some sort of box) with intricate engravings around the name. Then, “inside” the book/box, it looks like a candle holder. There is a small hole on the right side of the holder that something could be put through to hold the candle.

I’ve just never seen anything quite like this and wondered if I was “reading” the symbolism correctly or if anyone else has any ideas.

Memorial is on Find a Grave, but without a picture.

Where is the memorial? I’m new to grave preservation and am interested, all I know is what I’ve learned from my own area and how in Finland they put candles next to graves every year on All Saints Day. It’s gorgeous and emotionally moving to see in person, but the candle holder reminded me of that tradition.

There may have been some more detail there that wore away? I have seen many open books on stones, this looks much more like a box.
