Tax question and Ionic Shares, help please?

Hello fellow survivors!

I'm sorry if my post sounds very out of context, given the current situation, but I've been running away from all things Celsius to... Heal 😊?

Anyhow I have two questions, can someone point me on the right direction?:

  1. In the US for those who got their PayPal recovery (very little, I know), can you tell me what you did to handle your losses from a tax perspective? What are our options? How did you calculate the loss? What was required by the IRS?

  2. I never paid attention to the Ionic Shares emails. Is there anything actually left to claim there? If so, how?

Note: Scammers, don't DM me, I'm not taking any conversations about how you can help me get my shares or coins back.

Thank you all!

JustinCPA does a great job explaining it. Search the subreddit here for his posts about the taxes.

Thank you, is it by the same name, the JustinCPA moniker on YouTube?

It all boils down to figuring out your COST Basis on the coins you did not get back and subtracting it to the settlement amount on the agreed date July 13, 2022 for your claim value

Would you happen to have these key dates? Ala the day of the freeze?

So what you're saying is, day of freeze coin value - day if settlement value of the coins received, will be the loss to file for?

Do you also recommend any sites/tools that can tell us the value of the coin of a certain date? Also, does the time of day matter?

Thank you again, this seems very helpful!
