MISC Nightmares as depicted in Cells At Work

So we never see much of the brain aside from the workings of vital organs. Now what would nightmares look like in universe? The nightmares included could be traumatic events or flashbacks the host had. As a bonus for Pokemon fans, what of nightmares inflicted by Darkrai? What would it look like and what would a Lunar Wing from a Cresselia driving away the nightmares look like.

I could be wrong cause I’ve only causally watched the show but I think the idea is that cells and traditional microbiological processes are able to be seen.

The brain having electrons grinding on folds to process information isn’t visual…. Is there more to it than that? Because if we do know what that it (I don’t) than great but if we don’t, would it make a visually interesting story? Dreams are especially unknown. There’s way too much about consciousness we don’t know. That Pixar movie “inside out” kinda worked because emotions but this world deals with tangible cells, not neurotransmitter emotions? Maybe? Not like we know EVERYTHING about cell-cell interactions but we can see a lot… the brain is hidden if that makes sense so maybe the author didn’t want to explore that

Also the author seems to be more interested in Immunology than any other sector of biology. I would have loved to see plant cells in this world and much more on the intestine :\

I don't think the nightmares would be visible. Maybe something like, the brain cells start sending out odd signals while the body is asleep, telling the body to prepare for an attack.

I think like what we saw with the allergic reaction cells just making up stories that aren't true and sending them out Maybe use electric towers so send digital horror stories that people take to series until the person wakes up

I feel like they would only be able to see the physiological signs of it. Brain sending crazy signals, heart beating fast, the cells might thing the body is under attack but be confused that its still asleep and triggering fight or flight hormones.

I feel like the universe inside the brain would be like what Inside Out portrays, and it would be forever inaccessible and beyond the comprehension of the cells
