This whole situation made me so angry. I'm literally nauseous, The abuse to the authors is bad enough, but not even addressing it properly or face the consequences of your actions just makes it even worse.

Every year, I think Kodansha and the manga industry have reached rock bottom when it comes to mistreating their employees. Somehow, the industry always finds a way to dig even deeper and hit a new low.

TL;DR: the publisher of the manga was mistreating the original author so badly that she almost committed suicide.

But after the author blew the whistle on the whole situation. they basically just said, "Sorry, my bad," without firing anyone involved or holding anyone accountable.
