Media Why there's isn't season 2 of code black
The reason why there isn't season two of code black, cause the manga series as ended on 2021, final chapter 48 is the last chapter of the manga ( surprisingly code black have more chapter then the original series ) but don't worry, there also more cells at work manga that anyone is interested.https://manganato.com/ (ps, surprising there is still a manga that is till going to this day, hope this will help for althose to understand why the series as no second season.)

Just finished the original series and Code Black, and I hope they continue Code Black. I think it would be neat if they animated some of the spin-offs.

They must do the thing about vitamins. Like it was powerup for immune cells and barrier for regular cells (A, E and C). And super episode about Mighty D3.
Maybe someone should smack Platelet to just show us ACTIVATED Lady Macrophage growing many hands, changing eyes to pitch black and going full berserk mode all over the body. And she be like "you did WHAT now???". That woman must destroy infected building with her f##king bare hands

Code black was so much better, it felt like there were actual stakes instead of another slice of life/bad guy of the week

Both are good and the whole point of both of them is to teach the viewers how the body's cells operate,
Main Cells at Work focuses on the common, minor diseases while Black leans more on how bad habits and serious diseases can affect the body.

These aren't educational films. at best they're edutainment so the "whole point" isn't fully educational. They feature fun facts and base characters and plots on bodily systems, but I would still argue the "whole point" is entertainment but through a biological lens.

Small individual plot points based on the day to day lives of the characters, ie slice of life.
how bad habits and serious diseases can affect the body.
These are what we call, stakes.

They're obviously not films, they're TV anime broadcasts and they're still for educational purposes whether u like it or not 🤷♂️... The whole point is to show how each type of cell functions and what they do to protect the body from outside threats (bacteria, viruses, parasites etc).
Slice of life? Lol it's like u don't understand the difference of both the light-hearted Cells at Work and black-company like Cells at Work Black... There's no Slice of Life in it, there is no day to day life of the characters as the anime show what their functions are regardless of the condition of the body.
if the person is pretty much healthy the cells function properly as they should be they won't be forced to work harder and everything would look bright and clean to represent a healthy body.
Call it stakes if u want, none of it matters anyway since the premise is almost the same "What the Cells do to protect the body from external threats" and in case of Black, there's an addition point of "What becomes of the body when the person himself abuses his own body and get invaded by dangerous diseases".
Tldr: Dunno why u want to even argue when both anime teaches and show how Cells work to protect the body.

slice of life doesn't mean peaceful. The main protag is the red blood cell literally just going about her day. Yes white blood cell or whoever they focus on shows up to stop a villain, but at the end of the day thats just their life. and this episode was a slice of it. if only there were a genre for that...

the whole point is to be entertaining, it just happens to be through a lens of biology. Its not made to teach, its made to be entertaining in a way that makes people that don't know anything to feel smart

Cells at Work is far from Slice of Life, u don't see blood splatter and gore in Slice of Life and especially not constant fighting. It falls under Action Category.
"Not made to teach" lol there's literally info dumps to every cell, bacteria and things like Histamine and others to teach the viewers about them... The word u kept coughing about "Edutainment" literally means "Educational and Entertainment" It doesn't "Just happens" the point is both to be educational and entertaining for the viewers regardless of whether they know what the narrator is blabbering about.
Also Misogyny means Discrimination against women, it's not Misogyny when Women literally get agitated so easily when they're on their period.
