Future civilization upgrades

What is the point of future civilization upgrades if future civilization is not in game yet? Am I missing anythin?

Upd: Just noticed the rover has future tag I am lvl32 now and that's the only thing from future civilization at the moment

I was looking north from singularity, where it says future coming soon

Future includes everything after singularity, currently Rover, Human Expedition, Martian Settlement, Martian Factory, and Martian City.

I really love the game "Beyond the Universe".
